Minnesota Timberwolves coach Chris Finch, who has been on the job as a head coach for five years now, has earned a reputation for being frank and open in his comments to questioners. On Saturday, Finch met with the media ahead of his team’s Game 3 mathcup against the Warriors, and was finally able to address one of the lingering issues that emerged from Minnesota’s convincing Game 2 win. 
That win evened the series at a game a piece, and put Minnesota in a better position to take advantage of the hamstring injury suffered by Stephen Curry in the first game of the series.

North Augusta 2, South Florence 1 (2OT)
North Augusta is moving on to the third round of the Class AAAA playoffs following Friday night’s double-overtime road win at South Florence.
The Jackets (9-9-1) extended their winning streak to five games while ending the Bruins’ (14-2) at 14. Up next for North Augusta, the No. 11 seed in the Lower State, is a road trip Tuesday to face seventh-seeded Hilton Head Island.

In the two days of practice during Jacksonville Jaguars’ rookie minicamp, first-round pick Travis Hunter spent all of his time on the offensive side of the football.
According to John Shipley of Jaguars on SI, Hunter took part in every wide receiver position drill and was on offense during all of the team drills as well.
This doesn’t come as much of a surprise. After Day 1 of the NFL draft, GM James Gladstone and head coach Liam Coen mentioned that initially, Hunter would be onboarded on the offensive side of the football before seeing snaps on defense.

May 10—BROOKINGS — The USD softball team just refused to give in all weekend at the Summit League tournament, but after pushing top-seeded Omaha to the brink with a deciding rubber game in Saturday’s finals, the Coyote magic finally ran out in a 4-2 loss to the Mavericks.
For the third straight year, Omaha will represent the Summit League in the NCAA tournament. The Coyotes season ends at 32-24.
USD opened the tournament with an 8-3 win over Kansas City, then fell in 13 innings to rival and host South Dakota State, putting them on the brink of elimination.
