GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Florida coach Todd Golden officially filled two open spots on his staff Tuesday by promoting analytics director Jonathan Safir and hiring New York University head coach Dave Klatsky.
Safir and Klatsky replace John Andrzejek and Kevin Hovde. Andrzejek left to take the head coaching job at Campbell, and Hovde took over at Columbia.
Safir has been Florida’s director of basketball strategy and analytics since 2022, and Golden praised his work during the team’s national championship run in the NCAA Tournament.

Now, in their mid-20s, the former all-state runners from Zeeland East lived out their dream and ran in the Boston Marathon on Monday – together.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Brett Kulak didn’t get his regular pregame routine in on Monday.
Instead of skating with his teammates ahead of Game 1 against the Los Angeles Kings, the Edmonton Oilers defenseman was on a flight after briefly returning home for the birth of his second daughter, Scotlyn, on Sunday afternoon.
The plan had long been for Kulak’s wife, Caitlin, to have a C-section early Monday morning, but health care workers at the hospital heard the family might have a scheduling conflict.

According to Davante Adams, Aaron Rodgers’ departure from the New York Jets was every bit as ugly as it sounded.
Adams, who is both a former teammate and a close friend of the future Hall of Fame quarterback, recently revealed to The Athletic that he played golf with Rodgers the day before his final meeting with the Jets in early February. Rodgers was reportedly so upset after that meeting that he called Adams to cancel their planned second round.
