England and Chelsea right-back Lucy Bronze has spoken about her autism and ADHD diagnosis for the first time and believes it has made her “so successful” in her football career.
Bronze, 33, explained she received her diagnosis in 2021 and was choosing to speak about it to help “get rid of the stigma”.
“Growing up as a child who was misunderstood, I don’t want that for anyone else,” she told BBC Sport.

NORTON — Playing in an all-star game two days after falling in a state championship game might seem like a tricky transition, but Rootstown’s Addy Germann and Nadia Lough didn’t blink.
“This game was mostly just fun,” Lough said. “It was kind of like a practice after such a big thing, and Addy and I were talking, we were like Saturday we would normally play and then Sunday we would get off and then we’d be back at it on Monday. That’s kind of what it felt like for us. We were just back at it on Monday.
The Commanders will have a different player wearing No. 1 for the 2025 season.
Noah Igbinoghene, a cornerback who came to Washington for the 2024 season to rejoin head coach Dan Quinn and defensive coordinator Joe Whitt Jr, wore No. 1 last season. Igbinoghene had been with Quinn and Whitt in Dallas for a single season (2023) and signed as free agent to play in the Commanders secondary last season, and chose to wear jersey No. 1 after wide receiver Jahan Dotson was traded.
Interestingly, Igbinoghene is returning for the 2025 season, having again signed to play with the Commanders.
Bob Long, a wide receiver who was on the Packers’ teams that won the first two Super Bowls, has died at the age of 83.
Long went to Wichita State to play basketball, but after finishing his basketball eligibility he decided to give football a try, and in one year of college football he led the NCAA in touchdown catches. That two-sport athletic talent caught Vince Lombardi’s eye, and the Packers took him with the 44th overall pick in the 1964 NFL draft.

PHILADELPHIA − In the span of a calendar year, Brandon Graham became the third Eagles icon to announce his retirement.
You would think it would be impossible to replace that leadership, experience and knowledge that Graham brought through his franchise-record 15 seasons with the Eagles, along with Jason Kelce’s 13 years and Fletcher Cox’s 12.
Yet the Eagles won a Super Bowl less than a year after Kelce and Cox retired with their 13 combined Pro Bowl selections.

“As Greek history tells us, the gods always have their own plans.”
The words, not of a philosopher, but of a German football coach by the name of Otto Renhagel.
He is not a king, or indeed royalty, but in Athens’ folklore, he might as well be.
