Justice has come for Shohei Ohtani’s corrupt interpreter, who funneled millions of dollars from the baseball unicorn’s bank accounts to pay off his gambling debts.
The gambling ‘whodunnit’ became one of the biggest scandals in baseball this past decade.
As reported by ESPN’s Alden Gonzalez, Ippei was sentenced to 57 months in prison, also due to owe back $1 million to the IRS and $18 million in restitution to Ohtani. Mizuhara, born in Japan and slated to be deported, must report to prison on March 24.

The Chicago Blackhawks are ahead of only the San Jose Sharks in the standings this season, and while no one expected them to be world-beaters, the lack of improvement in Year Two of the Connor Bedard era might be making fans a little nervous.
And one of the biggest problems this season โ€” oddly enough โ€” has been the play of Bedard himself.
Sure, he’s got 46 points through 53 games and that’s solid, what has become clear is that Bedard’s game needs to be refined.

NBA guard Dennis Schroder is stuck in a cycle of โ€ฆ “modern slavery.”
Schroder, worth an estimated $90 million from career earnings, gave a ridiculous take on the NBA’s trade deadline by comparing it to slavery.
For the 31-year-old German-born player, players getting shipped around without their input on the matter (crazy, right?) is comparable to dealing slaves, albeit millionaires.
From NBA fans to casuals, everyone found Schroder’s comments ridiculous.
