Tennessee split a doubleheader Saturday to win a SEC series.
The No. 7 Lady Vols (32-8, 7-5 SEC) defeated No. 17 Mississippi State (31-10, 7-5 SEC), 8-0 in five innings, in game No. 2 of a doubleheader at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium.
Junior Karlyn Pickens pitched a complete game, allowing one hit and one walk. She recorded four strikeouts, while totaling 79 pitches, including 51 strikes.
Taylor Pannell went 2-for-3. She hit a three-run home run. Pannell also recorded one stolen base for Tennessee, which scored four runs in the second inning.
Gabby Leach went 2-for-2.

The Washington Commanders are on the road looking for future franchise players in the 2025 NFL draft. Scouts, coaches, and front office personnel are attending All-Star events, the NFL combine, and pro days to get their eyes on the top prospects and even small school gems around the country.
Washington has made an effort to watch and meet with two under-the-radar defensive backs who could be draft steals.

The New Orleans Saints have met with a boatload of prospects throughout the offseason process, not specifically targeting any one position over the rest. With that said, they have seemingly met with quite a few players in the trenches, more specifically the interior offensive line, where they continue to look for long-term solutions at various positions. With Taliese Fuaga and Erik McCoy being the only truly high-level performers so far, they may look to shuffle things up in the coming years.

Some believe the Montreal Canadiens have one of the easiest schedules match-up-wise until the end of the season, but I disagree. For some reason, Martin St. Louis’s men tend to play down to the opposition. They did it in the first period of the game against the Boston Bruins, and Saturday night’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers started similarly.

TAMPA, Fla – MiLaysia Fulwiley was the best player on the floor in South Carolina’s Sweet 16 win over Maryland. Her ballhandling, speed and creativity at the rim made things impossible for Maryland Terrapins coach Brenda Frese to find a way to slow down.
But there was a point in the second half when South Carolina coach Dawn Staley had to pull her standout sophomore out of the game and talk to her. Staley didn’t like what she was seeing defensively from Fulwiley.
South Carolina was in a tight game, trailing at two different moments in the fourth quarter.

Formula 1 heads to Bahrain for the fourth race of the Formula 1 season from 11-13 April.
The first three races produced three different winners, with Lando Norris taking the season opener in Australia, his McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri triumphing in China a week later and reigning world champion Max Verstappen securing victory in the Japanese Grand Prix.
Norris leads the drivers’ championship with 62 points but Verstappen’s win on Sunday means he is just one point behind.
