“The Commanders had a really great culture last year.”
That was former Washington Commander defensive tackle Jonathan Allen, who acknowledged to Chris Long on the “Green Light” podcast that GM Adam Peters and head coach Dan Quinn had made significant changes to the team in their first season.
The Commanders released Allen ahead of free agency in a cost-cutting move, and he immediately landed a three-year deal with the Minnesota Vikings.
Allen said Dan Quinn’s new culture “was the hardest part about leaving” the team.

LONDON (AP) — Arsenal’s win over Real Madrid conclusively sealed England’s long-expected fifth guaranteed entry in the Champions League next season.
In the new 36-team Champions League format, UEFA awards bonus places to the two nations whose sides collectively perform the best over the three European club competitions this season.
England, which has led the rankings since early in the season, has the most teams — five — left playing across the three competitions. It now cannot be caught by third-place Italy.

INDIANAPOLIS — In the first three quarters of their game Tuesday night against the worst team in the Eastern Conference, the Pacers never had a lead greater than one point and they trailed by as many as 16. They never held a lead greater than three points until the final 91 seconds of the game, and even against a team with far more organizational incentive to lose than to win, they couldn’t feel confident in victory until the game’s final minute.

Both already are three-time All-Region players and each owns more than 100 career RBIs.
Hensley set a Region record with 23 home runs as a sophomore and smashed seven more last spring despite playing in only 15 games because of an injury.

Ohio State quarterback Will Howard is viewed by many as a mid-round draft pick, but Jon Gruden thinks Howard has MVP potential.
Gruden, who is sitting down with quarterback prospects the way he used to do as a staple of ESPN’s pre-draft coverage, has released the first episode of his 2025 series, and it’s with Howard, who led Ohio State to the national championship last season. And Gruden compared Howard to the reigning NFL MVP, Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
“You’re a big, dual-threat quarterback, aren’t you?” Gruden said to Howard.
