Xander Schauffele was embarrassed by Rory McIlroy during the final round of the Wells Fargo Championship this past Sunday, losing to the four-time major winner by six shots before finishing runner-up by five. Many questioned how Schauffele would come out of the gates at this week’s PGA Championship, and the answer seems to be like a man absolutely possessed.
Schauffele began with a disappointing par on the gettable Par 5 10th hole, but a birdie on the Par 3 11th jump-started his round, and he never looked back.

I don’t know what was on Chiefs rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy’s to-do list when he learned that he was headed to Kansas City.
If he’s like most of us, I’m guessing he wanted to snag himself a little of that world-famous BBQ (I bet Andy Reid has some kick-ass recommendations on that front), maybe catch a Royals game across the parking lot from Arrowhead Stadium, and — if time allows — maybe check out Hallmark’s headquarters and pick up some gifts.

It’s not too often you’ll hear Major League Baseball managers forcefully and publicly criticize their own players. But that’s exactly what Los Angeles Angels manager Ron Washington did on Tuesday after a 7-6 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals.
And it all started with an extremely questionable managerial decision. 
With the bases loaded for the Angels in the eighth inning against struggling Cardinals reliever JoJo Romero, Washington called for a suicide squeeze.
