26 USMNT Moments, Past to Present: Back on the World Stage
This is 26 USMNT Moments: Past to Present, a U.S. Soccer content series that covers 26 defining moments in U.S. Men’s National Team history. From inspired victories to stunning goals, and the stars and hidden heroes who made them possible, each chapter reminds us that our dreams on the pitch are worth chasing. Together, they’ve built toward the biggest moment yet: the 2026 World Cup on home soil.

The Los Angeles Kings have landed on longtime NHL coach Peter Laviolette as their next head coach, per multiple reports. Laviolette reportedly agreed to a deal with the team on Monday, in what will be a three-year contract, per The Athletic’s Pierre LeBrun.
Laviolette has spent the past year out of the league after getting fired by the New York Rangers last April. Laviolette had only been with the Rangers since 2023, making to the conference finals in his first year, but was let go after missing the playoffs in the 2024-25 season.

And it will not be pretty.
The Committee has released a 26-page interim staff report regarding the SBA, with the title calling it a “special-interest antitrust exemption gone awry.” The report deals solely with the NFL — how the broadcast antitrust exemption came to be, how it has evolved, and whether the NFL has violated its terms by putting games behind paywalls.
Rochester Hills — Former Detroit Lions tight end Eric Ebron and offensive lineman Gosder Cherilus could have been anywhere in the world, but on Monday they were giving back not far from where their careers started.
It has been many years since they played for the Lions, but their love for Detroit remains the same.
“Detroit means everything to me,” Ebron said. “I love it here. I was here for the beginning of the growth era for Detroit. So just going back and being among the people, and having people actually know me outside of football, has been a pleasure.
