One CNN reporter got dunked on for completely botching several African players’ names from the 2022 NBA All-Star roster.
In typical CNN fashion, the sports segment had little to do with actual sports; instead highlighted the “takeover” of international All-Stars, focusing on African-born players.
The reporter, Zain Asher, was all passion and no pronunciation as she sped through players’ names like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid and Pascal Siakam in an attempt to get away with a lack of proper linguistics.

The 2017 Houston Astros may not have been the only team using video to steal signs.
Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts spoke to reporters recently and acknowledged that the 2018 Red Sox were also using video reports to gain a competitive advantage.
“Yeah,” Betts told Dylan Hernández of the Los Angeles Times.“Everybody was.”
The Red Sox won the World Series at the end of the 2018 season, and were subsequently subject to an MLB investigation.

The All-Star guard took time out to offer his support for one of the victims who’s still in the hospital.
As the Michigan State community slowly recovers from the on-campus shooting that killed three people and wounded five others on Feb. 13, one of the victims who suffered severe injuries received a warm message from one of his favorite athletes: James Harden.
When the 76ers star learned that 20-year-old John Hao—who suffered injuries that have left him paralyzed from the chest down—was a fan of his, he made sure to send Hao a gift package that included new shoes.
