Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns outlasted the Dallas Mavericks 130-126 yesterday. Kevin Durant finished with 37 points that included the go-ahead bucket and the game’s final two free throws. Luka Dončić finished with 34 points and missed a potential game-tying bucket with six seconds left. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe react to Suns win over Mavs.

The Dallas running back is set to earn $10.1 million next year.
The Cowboys have placed the franchise tag on running back Tony Pollard ahead of the Tuesday deadline, SI’s Albert Breer reports. Pollard will earn $10.1 million on a one-year deal in 2023.
The Dallas tailback is coming off a career year last season, recording a team-high 1,007 rushing yards, plus 371 receiving yards and 12 total touchdowns.
However, Pollard suffered a fractured left fibula in the Cowboys’ divisional-round playoff loss to the 49ers, an injury that required surgery this offseason.
Elon broke Twitter again.
Twitter is an unusable mess. Photos aren’t loading. Clicking a link results in an error. It’s almost as if the person who owns the company has no idea what they’re doing.
At least Stephen A. Smith is able to laugh about it.
Sorry you can’t click on this. Twitter is so broken right now that I had to take a screenshot.
The “TAke a look, y’all:” is a relic of a Twitter joke dating back to 2015, when Stephen A.
Stephen A. Smith wants to see Ja Morant’s father, Tee, do a little more parenting.
The embattled Memphis Grizzlies star guard is away from the team for at least a pair of games after flashing a gun on an Instagram Live stream. It was just the latest embarrassing moment for the 23-year-old NBA sensation.
He’s previously been accused of being in a vehicle carrying someone who flashed a gun at members of the Pacers, and he’s been accused of punching a teenager multiple times and also flashing a gun in that same incident.

We mentioned Florida QB Anthony Richardson in this week’s takeaways, and the NFL still has a lot to learn about him. He only started one year. He came on the radar late. He’s raw.
Irsay’s potato video rambling about rock stars is so on brand.
Hours after being released I’m still not entirely convinced this isn’t a ransom video from Jim Irsay, or at best some weird AI deepfake.

In it, you can see Irsay, standing a good six feet from the camera, on a loud jet — all while filmed on a potato with the camera from a 2005 Motorola Razr attached. I’d ask him to blink twice if he was being held against his will, but the polarized lenses make it impossible.
The six-time All-Star was willing to change positions to accommodate the reigning AL MVP.
Before Aaron Judge decided to re-sign with the Yankees in December, Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts apparently was willing to make a personal sacrifice to bring the reigning American League MVP to Los Angeles.
While speaking with Sports Illustrated’s Tom Verducci recently, Betts confirmed the rumor about him proposing to move from right field to second base to make way for Judge.
“Yes, that sounds probably like something I said,” Betts told Verducci.
TBS’ Costas opens up about much-criticized call during Yankees-Guardians series.
1. Let me start by getting the most significant observation of Bob Costas’s appearance on Bill Maher’s podcast, Club Random, out of the way: I’m not sure you’ll find many people who look better at 70 than Costas. If you told me Costas was 50, I’d believe it.
During his interview with Maher, Costas addressed his much-panned performance for TBS in last year’s Major League Baseball playoffs. The veteran play-by-play man admitted the criticism he received in the first game was warranted.
