Can anyone catch Max Verstappen and Red Bull?
On any given race weekend, that is certainly a tough question to ponder. It might even be tougher to ponder at this week’s Austrian Grand Prix, given that it is held at Red Bull Ring, the home race for Red Bull.
Still, teams like Ferrari and Mercedes are doing everything they can to close the gap to Verstappen and company, and with this weekend being one of the season’s sprint races, using the new “Sprint Saturday” format, we can expect the unexpected.

We’re here today to discuss how it’s been playing Fight Forever for the past few days as wrestling fans, and more importantly fans from much different generations of gaming.
1. In a shocking turn of events, ESPN has cut ties with its lead NBA analyst, Jeff Van Gundy.
The move comes as part of a cost-cutting wave of layoffs affecting on-air talent at the World Wide Leader.
Van Gundy, who joined ESPN in 2007, has called the past 17 NBA Finals alongside Mike Breen and Mark Jackson.
My guess is that Van Gundy won’t be out of a broadcasting job for too long. With the NBA’s television deals expiring in 2024, new outlets are expected to get packages, including possibly NBC and Amazon.
New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge has been on the Injured List with a toe injury since early June.
But Judge shared some seemingly hopeful news recently about how his recovery is going.
Before Tuesday night’s game against the Oakland Athletics, which resulted in a perfect game from Domingo German, Judge played catch in the outfield.

He was quick to downplay it, but admitted that it’s “another step” on the way back to the field.
“It’s just another step,” Judge said.
Making the right choice can be the difference between winning and losing, both in the National Football League and in the world of fantasy football. Case in point. In the 1999 NFL Draft, Edgerrin James and Ricky Williams were the two unquestioned top running backs in the class. The Colts had a tough decision to make with the fourth overall pick, and they chose James. He went on to win Rookie of the Year, became a four-time Pro Bowler and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2020.
The Colts chose wisely.
The Lakers may not be going star-hunting this offseason, but they’ve been connected to a number of intriguing and immediate-impact free agents already. A name floated previously was Nuggets guard Bruce Brown and it was received well by the fanbase for the most part.
However, it appears that the Lakers have two paths to go, one of which could feature potentially signing Brown or Bucks center Brook Lopez with the non-tax midlevel exception.
But there’s also an alternate path that only adds to the situation facing Los Angeles.
If there’s one thing the NBA teaches us almost daily, it’s that we generally have no clue what’s going to happen next. That’s especially true during trade and free-agency season, when Chris Paul ends up with the Warriors, and James Harden is rumored to potentially land with the Clippers after many of us figured it’d be between Philly and Houston for his services.
NBA analyst Jalen Rose is among the on-air personalities that ESPN is laying off on Friday, The New York Post’s Andrew Marchand reports. The network is expected to let go of around 20 on-air personalities, with NBA color commentator Jeff Van Gundy already reportedly a part of the group.
Rose, who spent 13 seasons in the NBA, has been with ESPN as an NBA analyst since his retirement in 2007. He and David Jacoby also formed the radio show Jalen & Jacoby, which ended late last year.
In a statement, ESPN acknowledged the layoffs but declined to give specific names of those affected.
