A former star linebacker for the Georgia Bulldogs, Pollack joined ESPN as a college football analyst in 2009. He earned a spot on the network’s College GameDay team in 2011.
ESPN’s College GameDay is the most-watched sports news / studio show on cable and college football’s most-watched pregame show. And in 2022, GameDay recorded the most-watched regular season in the program’s 36-year history.

Jerami Grant has reportedly agreed to a five-year, $160 million deal to return to the Trail Blazers, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports also reported that Grant’s fifth year in the new deal served as a main reason why he was unable to secure an extension with the franchise before free agency. Now, Grant’s re-signing with Portland is one of many moves the franchise hopes will keep star Damian Lillard in a Trail Blazers’ uniform next season.
Last season, Grant provided Portland with a solid defense and averaged 20.

Rickie Fowler has been knocking at the door all season, including the U.S. Open. He has put himself in contention entering the weekend again.
Rickie Fowler has seemingly turned his career around this year. He has played extremely well but come just short of his sixth PGA Tour victory. Following Friday’s second round of the Rocket Mortgage Classic, he once again will enter the weekend in contention.
Fowler shot a 7-under 65 at the Detroit Golf Club in Michigan Friday.

A key member of the Bucks’ 2021 championship team, Khris Middleton will remain in Milwaukee on a new contract, his agents confirmed to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The three-year deal is worth $102 million, and contains a player option.
Middleton, a three-time NBA All-Star, was hampered by injuries in 2022–23, and limited to just 33 games for Milwaukee. After averaging 15.1 points during the regular season, he returned to form in five playoff games for the team, averaging 23.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 6.

Kyle Kuzma has reportedly agreed on a four-year, $102 million deal to return to the Wizards, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
Prior to earning the new deal, Kuzma declined his $13 million player option. Kuzma, who was linked to the Rockets this offseason, returns to a Wizards franchise that has established that is undergoing a rebuild. 
Washington parted ways with Kristaps Porzingis in a three-team trade that saw him land with the Celtics, Marcus Smart traded to the Grizzlies and Tyus Jones,Mike Muscala and Danilo Gallinari heading to the Wizards.

Coming off of a breakout postseason with the NBA champion Nuggets, Bruce Brown has opted to sign with the Pacers as a free agent, ESPN’s Malika Andrews and Adrian Wojnarowski report.
The two-year deal is worth $45 million, according to the report.
Brown is coming off of a career season in his lone year with Denver, averaging 11.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. He upped his scoring to 12 points per game in 20 playoff contests for the Nuggets, who went on to win their first title.

Once seen as potential favorites to win the NL East and potentially the World Series, the Mets have instead been baseball’s cautionary tale.

In an abrupt turn of events, Saul “Canelo” Álvarez, the undisputed 168-pound champion who had been preparing for a showdown with 160-pound titleholder Jermall Charlo, will instead face Charlo’s brother, Jermell, the undisputed 154-pound champion in a clash of four-belt titleholders in September.
Jermall, who has been dealing with significant personal issues, did not believe he would be in the right head space to train properly for a Canelo fight, sources familiar with the situation told Sports Illustrated.
