JJ Watt is blasting the NFL on social media after the league dished out its latest round of ridiculous fines.
The former Houston Texans star vented on X in response to Baltimore Ravens fullback Patrick Ricard’s $21,694 fine for “unnecessary roughness.” The incident — which Watt describes as a “routine football play” — happened during the Ravens’ Week 8 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
“I will say it again… This is STEALING money from guys. These absurd fines for routine football plays have got to stop,” Watt posted on X. “What are we doing. This is out of control.

You knew this was supposed to be a Kansas City Chiefs victory after only one half. After all, the Chiefs led the Dolphins, by three touchdowns and the chances of that mountainous deficit being climbed are, well, like climbing Everest.
After the Dolphins were shut out in the first half for the first time in 40 games, the Chiefs were looking like they were headed to an easy win. And history was on their side:
The Chiefs had led 179 previous games by 21 points. And their record was 178-1 in those games.
The Dolphins had trailed 108 games by 21 points. And their record in those games was 3-105.
“We need you to be like Baker Mayfield!” Not something you’d expect an NFL coach to say to his quarterback. However, that’s exactly what the Minnesota Vikings need from Josh Dobbs after Jaren Hall suffered a concussion against the Atlanta Falcons.
Kirk Cousins suffered a season-ending injury last week and the Vikings subsequently traded for veteran quarterback Josh Dobbs. However, Dobbs joined the team on Tuesday. That’s not enough time to learn the offense, so the team elected to start rookie Jaren Hall.
In the first game without quarterback Kirk Cousins, Vikings’ backup quarterback Jaren Hall went down in the first quarter and was ruled out with a concussion.
The rookie Hall was running towards the end zone on a third down when he was tackled by two Falcons players. He hit the ground hard and shortly after was taken to the locker room for further evaluation. The Vikings settled for a field goal on the drive.
Before exiting Sunday’s game, Hall completed five-of-six passes for 78 yards, and he rushed 11 yards on two carries.
Tua Tagovailoa pointed the finger at himself after two fourth quarter miscues resulted in a Dolphins’ 21-14 loss to the Chiefs in Frankfurt, Germany.
After a dormant offensive performance in the first half trailing 21-0, the Dolphins’ offense came to life in third quarter, scoring two touchdowns to cut the deficit to a one-score game entering the fourth quarter.
Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa drops back to pass against the Kansas City Chiefs in the first quarter during an NFL International Series game at Deutsche Bank Park.
Sportswear company Adidas uses the slogan, “Impossible is nothing.” The company took that idea and expounded upon in it in a commercial featuring Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The commercial played on NFL Network during the Chiefs game against the Miami Dolphins in Germany on Sunday morning.
It was the first time I ever saw the ad. According to the YouTube version of the spot, the company released it eight months ago. That shocked me. I asked a few people if they had seen it. Seemingly no one that I spoke to had seen it before.
Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs were able to hold off the Miami Dolphins (thanks to a couple of bad mistakes late by Tua Tagovailoa) in Germany on Sunday and improved to 7-2 on the season with a 21-14 victory.
The Chiefs were able to get the win despite a dreadful performance by Kelce, who had just three catches for 14 yards and no touchdowns. By now it has been well documented that he hasn’t put up big numbers in games that Taylor Swift hasn’t attended. That trend continued in Week 9, as the pop star was unable to make it to the game.

NFL Nation reporters react to all the action, answering lingering questions coming out of each game.
The Josh McDaniels era in Las Vegas will be a forgettable one. McDaniels was fired Wednesday amid the team’s consistent struggles and it was even reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport that a team meeting on Oct. 26 with Raiders players broke the former coach.
During this meeting before an embarrassing loss to the Lions on Monday night, players and coaches ripped into McDaniels, leaving him unlike his usual self. However, some new details from the meeting have since come to light revolving around McDaniels’s disdain for any slander on his former team, the Patriots.
