College football is back and there is a realistic possibility that the landscape of the 2023 season could come down to one game between Tennessee and Georgia. No one knows what is going to happen this fall, and scenarios change daily, but November 18 is slated to be a big day.

On that day, the Volunteers will host the back-to-back reigning national champions. The Bulldogs expect to be undefeated at that point. It is possible that the home team enters that weekend without a divisional loss.

High school basketball sensation Cooper Flagg may be just 16 years old, but he’s already reportedly going toe-to-toe with NBA All-Stars… and talking trash while he does it.
Flagg, who turned heads at Nike’s Peach Jam tournament in July with otherworldly statlines that even drew attention from LeBron James, is rumored to have faced off with Phoenix Suns star Bradley Beal at Jayson Tatum Elite Camp. According to former NBA player Brian Scalabrine on SiriusXM NBA Radio, Flagg was “busting” Beal in the one-on-one matchup, and talked enough trash that Beal “started cussing him out.
Carly Lloyd’s swift criticism of the USWNT following its draw against Portugal in the Women’s World Cup has sparked quite a two-sided reaction. Either you agree that this American side needs a bit of humbling after a disappointing start to the tournament, or you don’t.
OutKick’s Charly Arnolt falls in the latter category and explained on Wednesday’s edition of ‘Varney & Company’ on Fox News that she was surprised Lloyd took aim at the USWNT after the scoreless draw.
On a rainy night in a Manhattan hotel back in 1962, Bill Winkenbach, Scott Stirling and Bill Tunnell created the concept for what we now call fantasy football. Winkenbach, who was part owner of the Oakland Raiders, Stirling (an Oakland Tribune columnist) and Tunnell (a Raiders public relations staffer) huddled in a hotel room at The Milford Plaza and built the foundation for what would become the first-ever fantasy football league, an eight-team format that was called the GOPPL (Greater Oakland Professional Pigskin Prognosticators League).
AlphaTauri’s Yuki Tsunoda had a strong weekend in Belgium during which the third-year driver out of Japan managed to steal a point for his team, which is currently wallowing away at the bottom of the constructors’ standings.
A result like that can mean only one thing: it’s officially Negroni time.
Tsunoda — easily one of the biggest characters on the grid these days —revealed his celebratory beverage of choice during a post-race interview on the F1 Nation podcast.
“I am very happy. Now I can have a negroni finally, which is kind of a routine whenever I score points.
To always have a quiet trade deadline is a missed opportunity in the league’s growth.
Soccer fandom has transformed a city, but that comes with a cost.
It’s a muggy, brutal evening in Charlotte — the kind only those in the south truly understand. Shirts progressively become darker with sweat. Beer warms quickly in your hand as condensation pours from aluminum, and even the slightest breeze is met with collective relief, an entire crowd living as one. Despite every synapse telling the body that being outside is a bad idea, for the die-hard fans of Charlotte FC nothing will stop them from witnessing history on Saturday night.
At this World Cup, the Americans have been decidedly average, but their fall back to the pack of contenders isn’t wholly unexpected for those closest to the team.
METAIRIE, La. – New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara was not at a practice Wednesday morning. He is expected to meet with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell later in the day concerning an arrest in February of 2022 while at the Pro Bowl in Las Vegas.
Kamara flew on Saints’ owner Gayle Benson’s jet to New York City for the meeting, the Baton Rouge/New Orleans Advocate reported Wednesday morning. Kamara may meet with reporters upon his return to the Saints facility on Wednesday, or most likely later this week “at some point,” a Saints spokesman said.
It’s do-or-die time for Justin Thomas this week at the Wyndham Championship. Without a strong showing this week in North Carolina the 2017 FedEx Cup champion will miss out on this year’s FedEx Cup Playoffs and, in the process, may destroy any hope of making the U.S. Ryder Cup team.
Having said that there is still a very real chance JT does enough this week to get inside the Top 70 in the FedEx Cup standings and punch his ticket into the first playoff event in Memphis.
