The Heat want to acquire Damian Lillard. Damian Lillard wants to be traded to the Heat. Seems easy enough, but the Trail Blazers front office wants as strong of a return as possible for Lillard, who has been a pillar of the franchise for over a decade.
According to Sam Amick of The Athletic, the Heat not only want Lillard, they need Lillard. Miami was bracing for Lillard to ask out of Portland, and as such let guards Gabe Vincent and Max Strus walk in free agency after their NBA Finals run.

While transgender cyclist Austin Killips is entering women’s races and dominating them for sheer pleasure, a trans cyclist in South Korea is entering women’s races to prove a point.
That point being that biological men have an athletic advantage over biological women.
Na Hwa-rin didn’t simply wake up and say ‘I’m going to enter a women’s race today,’ however.
According to The Korea Times, Na underwent gender reassignment surgery in 2022 and is recognized as a woman under South Korean law.

Christian Pulisic has officially traded one legendary European club for another with a move from Chelsea to AC Milan.
The U.S. men’s national team star has signed a four-year deal with an option for a fifth year with the Rossoneri worth roughly $22 million. He will wear the No. 11 shirt at AC Milan. 
In four seasons with Chelsea, Pulisic became the first American to record 26 goals and 21 assists in 145 matches across all competitions.

Mac Jones’ second year in the NFL did not go according to plan. He hopes to silence the doubters this fall and is already doing exactly that ahead of training camp.
Jones, the No. 15 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, was a Pro Bowler as a rookie and completed 67.6% of his passes for 3,801 yards and 22 touchdowns en route to a 10-7 record. 2022 did not go as well.
Not only did Jones miss time due to injury, during which rookie phenom Bailey Zappe made his case for the starting job by electrifying the nation, he struggled.

The Jets spent the offseason overhauling an anemic offense, trading for quarterback Aaron Rodgers, hiring former Packers offensive coordinator Nate Hackett, and adding other pieces like wide receivers Allen Lazard, Mecole Hardman and Randall Cobb, along with offensive tackle Billy Turner.
That doesn’t mean the offense itself will look radically different, however, something that may sound surprising to fans hoping for a significant improvement out of Gang Green’s attack from a season ago.

Naomi Osaka announced the birth of her daughter on Thursday with a sweet social media post. She also hinted at her return to tennis. 
“Well that was a cool little intermission, now back to your regularly scheduled program,” Osaka wrote on Twitter. 
The women’s tennis association announced Osaka gave birth on Wednesday in Los Angeles, according to ESPN. She said she was pregnant in a January Instagram post alongside her boyfriend, rapper Cordae. 
Osaka has not played a tournament since September 2022 in the Toray Pan Pacific Open, but she said she plans to return next year.

Boxer Devin Haney was arrested Thursday morning in Hollywood.
The undefeated 30-0 boxer was arrested on a felony possession of a concealed weapon charge after a gun was found in his vehicle during a Thursday morning traffic stop shortly after midnight, according to TMZ.
Haney was driving, but the person who was informed police of the weapon. The cops allegedly found it after getting everyone out of the vehicle.
Haney was ultimately charged because the vehicle is registered to him, and nobody else claimed the weapon, according to the same TMZ report.
