Deion Sanders sounds like a coach as close to finished with his offensive line as possible. When addressing Colorado’s struggles along the line, as they allowed seven sacks in the 28-16 loss to UCLA, “Coach Prime” was as blunt as humanly possible about it.
“The big picture, you get get new lineman. That’s the picture and I’ma paint it perfectly,” Sanders told reporters after the loss.

Colorado’s loss against UCLA on Saturday night was an ugly outing for the team. But quarterback Shedeur Sanders proved to be the one bright spot in an otherwise putrid performance by an offense, and the internet showed some sympathy for him. It did not have the same empathy for the rest of his teammates, though.
The Buffaloes 28–16 loss to the Bruins marked its fourth loss in the last five games and dropped Deion Sanders’s squad to 1–4 in conference play. Saturday’s shortcomings, however, were a result of an offense that was clearly outmatched up front.

Recounting the winners and losers from qualifying at the Mexico City Grand Prix
It may not be on par with Joe Namath boldly predicting a New York Jets’ upset win ahead of Super Bowl III, but Daniel Ricciardo followed up a big statement about his pace on Friday with a stunning performance in qualifying Saturday for the Mexico City Grand Prix.
I told you heading into this weekend that we were bound to see some type of chaos, on a ‘slow’ college football Saturday in the eyes of some. Well, not only did Kansas shock Oklahoma, but the ACC is looking a bit chaotic behind Florida State.
The matchups weren’t sexy enough for some, without many top-25 showdowns, but that didn’t stop us from seeing a little college football madness.
In case you were wondering how Georgia would respond without Brock Bowers on the field, just ask Florida Gator fans how that turned out.
Former NHL player Adam Johnson died Saturday after a “freak accident” during a game in England’s Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL). He was 29 years old. The Nottingham Panthers announced his death Sunday in a statement.
“Adam, our number 47, was not only an outstanding ice hockey player, but also a great teammate and an incredible person with his whole life ahead of him,” the statement read. “The Club will dearly miss him and will never forget him.
Jimmy Butler is gone but certainly not forgotten in the eyes of Timberwolves fans. And when the Heat traveled to Minnesota on Saturday night, a game in which Butler sat out due to rest on the second half of a back-to-back, the fans made sure to let their former star hear it during the 106-90 victory.
With around two minutes remaining in the game, fans began to chant “Where is Jimmy” at Butler, who was seated on the bench in street clothes.
ARLINGTON, Texas — You know the story is going to be a good one when the teller of the tale begins, “It’s a real story. It’s true.”
The spinner of the yarn was Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo. The subject was Arizona pitcher Merrill Kelly, who had just put on such an exquisite exhibition of pinpoint pitching Saturday night that there are only six other games like it in the history of the World Series. Kelly was that good—historically good—as the D-Backs emphatically seized Game 2, 9–1, to square the series.
Deion Sanders didn’t hold back Saturday night after UCLA beat Colorado.
The Buffaloes fell to the Bruins 28-16, and Shedeur Sanders spent the night running for his life and getting banged up. He was sacked seven times, hit 17 other times, knocked down 13 times (via ESPN) and was under constant pressure as Colorado’s line simply couldn’t protect him.
The talented dual-threat was picked up on the broadcast sitting on the bench looking about as miserable as you’ll ever see a football player look.
Man this is heartbreaking. Shedeur Sanders deserves better than this: pic.twitter.
ARLINGTON, Texas — The Snakes are indeed alive. The Diamondbacks bounced back from their wrenching Game 1 loss in the World Series with a 9–1 victory over the Rangers in Game 2.
The series will now head to Phoenix split. Max Scherzer is expected to start Game 3 for the Rangers and rookie Brandon Pfaadt will go for the Diamondbacks. Here’s a rundown of what to watch for on Monday.
What Will the Rangers See From Scherzer?
Scherzer has now made two starts since missing more than a month with a strained muscle in his shoulder.
For the second straight start in the season’s most crucial stretch, Merrill Kelly was at his best. For the second straight start, he forced Rangers hitters and his own manager to make decisions.
