Vikings rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison was cited for speeding and reckless driving early Thursday morning in St. Paul.
Addison, 21, is accused of traveling 140 mph in a 55-mph zone while driving a Lamborghini Urus sport utility vehicle, according to a statement by the Minnesota State Patrol. The incident occurred on eastbound Interstate 94 near Dale Street in St. Paul, according to the MSP.
Addison, whose place of residence is listed as Frederick, Md., played college football at Pittsburgh and Southern California.

You never know what you’re going to get with links golf, and for Collin Morikawa on Thursday, that included nearly being taken out by Phil Mickelson during the opening round of The Open.
Morikawa, the 2021 Champion Golfer of the Year, got off to a rollercoaster start at Royal Liverpool going bogey-birdie-double on his opening three holes. He followed his double bogey on the third hole with a birdie on the fourth, and what a unique birdie it was.

That also means it’s time for this year’s Madden NFL ratings release, giving us something to talk about. For Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs, that means trash-talking the ratings-makers.
On Thursday, the ratings came out for the cornerbacks in the game. Miami Dolphins corner Jalen Ramsey — who the team traded for in March — rates as the best, according to the video game.

Adam Scott struggled on Thursday at the Open Championship. He couldn’t hit a fairway and had a lot of wayward shots. On the par-5 18th, one of those wild shots hit a fan in the head leaving him bloody, per Black Lodge Brewery.
The fan may have a headache, but Scott did hook him up with a signed glove. “Sorry, mate,” Scott wrote on the glove.

Shane van Gisbergen, the three-time Supercars champion and winner of the inaugural Chicago street race — is going to try to stay undefeated in the NASCAR Cup Series.
That will be much easier said than done.
Trackhouse Racing announced that the 34-year-old from New Zealand will be back in the team’s No. 91 Chevrolet when the Cup Series goes to Indianapolis Motor Speedway next month.
van Gisbergen wowed on the rain-soaked Chicago Street Course, with a late charge past Cup Series regulars Chase Elliott and Justin Haley for the win.
