Coaches around the NFL are discussing the NFL’s new kickoff rule, but mostly in private. The consensus from those around the league: coaches generally hate it. Most don’t want to say it out loud, like Bills head coach Sean McDermott. But Chiefs head coach Andy Reid doesn’t care if there are repercussions.

Discussion of LeBron James’s next move has heated up ever since James floated the possibility of retiring after the Lakers were swept by the Nuggets earlier this week. Fox Sports’ Colin Cowherd tossed out a wild potential move for LeBron on his radio show on Wednesday: a trade to the Warriors.
Cowherd’s proposal, which he says “is not tinfoil hat stuff,” would send James to Golden State in exchange for Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga and Jordan Poole.

When Chiefs starter Patrick Mahomes signed his 10-year, $450 million contract in 2020, he was the highest paid quarterback in history. Now, his $45 million annual salary ranks seventh on the list of quarterbacks, per Spotrac.
