Iowa offensive coordinator Brian Ferentz is not expected to return to his role with the program for the 2024 season, according to David Eickholt of HawkeyeInsider.
Brian, the son of Hawkeyes football coach Kirk Ferentz, has served as Iowa’s offensive coordinator since 2017. Currently, Iowa (6–2, 3–2) ranks No. 118 out of 130 teams in scoring offense, averaging 19.5 points per contest this season.
Iowa’s struggles offensively date back to the previous two seasons. In 2022, the Hawkeyes placed 123rd out of 131 FBS teams and sat at 99th out of 130 programs in ’21.

The PGA Tour decided against an investment from Endeavor, which led LIV golfer Phil Mickelson to rant on social media.
Late Friday, a report emerged from Sportico in which the PGA Tour is no longer interested in partnering with Endeavor, the multi-billion dollar holding company for talent and media agencies.

Diamondbacks outfielder Tommy Pham had an amazing Game 2 on Saturday night as he went 4-for-4 and scored two runs, but his performance was slightly overcast by a comment Rangers pitching coach Mike Maddux made towards Pham.
Fox cameras caught Maddux saying “Atta boy, you dumb f—!” towards Pham after he was picked off on second base in the sixth inning.
After the game, Pham told USA Today Sports’s Bob Nightengale how “shocked” he was that his former pitching coach (while both were on the Cardinals) would say something like that towards him.
