We got golf beef, y’all!
For the first time since Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau …
WE GOT GOLF BEEF, FOLKS!
Let’s set the stage, which of course starts with the backdrop of the ongoing rift between the golfers on the PGA Tour and the golfers with the new LIV Golf, a Saudi Arabian backed tour that’s been poaching PGA golfers such as Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson, and our player one in this beef, Patrick Reed.
On the other side, are the PGA Tour golfers who refuse to go over to LIV Golf.

As the Cincinnati Bengals prepare to play the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC championship Sunday, what will the weather be like for the game?
One of the finalists is not a quarterback.
The Associated Press announced the five finalists for this year’s AP NFL MVP on Wednesday and one of them isn’t a quarterback. Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts, Joe Burrow, Josh Allen and wide receiver Justin Jefferson are being considered for the award.
Mahomes is the likely favorite to win the award after he led the NFL in both passing touchdowns (41) and passing yards (5,250). He also helped the Chiefs to the top seed in the AFC and is looking to win his second Super Bowl and second MVP come February.

A top-10 unit a year ago, Toronto’s defense has stumbled this season.
Amid a 2021-22 NBA regular season that saw various second-half surges, the Toronto Raptors’ late season run was among the finest. They went 25-11 and vaulted to the Eastern Conference’s No. 5 seed at 48-34. Over that span, they were fifth in defensive rating and eighth in net rating. On the year, they were 10th overall defensively and 10th in half-court defense, according to Cleaning The Glass.
The 2019 fourth-round running back is scheduled to become a free agent and a new team could dramatically shift his fantasy prospects.
The running back position doesn’t have a ton of superstars available on the free agent market, but there are a few names of interest … including Tony Pollard. He’s coming off a career season, posting 39 catches, 1,378 scrimmage yards and 12 touchdowns. That was good enough for him to finish with 248.8 fantasy points.
Spread, over/under and prop bets for Wednesday’s Nuggets-Bucks game in Milwaukee. Milwaukee is a large home favorite.
The Nuggets are in Milwaukee for the second leg of a back-to-back Wednesday to take on the Bucks.
It’s the first game between top-seeded Denver and third-place Milwaukee this season. Together, Nikola Jokić and Giannis Antetokounmpo account for the league’s last four MVPs and they’re both making their case to win the award for a third time this season. Jokić leads the all-time head-to-head series against Antetokounmpo, 8–4.
With All-Star starters set to be announced Thursday, SI’s Rohan Nadkarni unveils his roster selections for the West.
It’s All-Star season, and with the starters officially set to be announced Thursday, it’s time to take a look at who has earned a spot in the Western Conference. You can find Eastern Conference picks here.
Frontcourt
Nikola Jokić, LeBron James and Domantas Sabonis
All of these picks are pretty easy. Jokić is on his way to his third straight MVP. He is an absolute machine. Jokić is shooting 67.4% on two-pointers so far this season.
Ja or SGA? Giannis or KD? With so many great players, the challenge of only picking 10 worthy of All-Star starter status is daunting. Someone is going to be left out.
The Heat took care of this young fan after he traveled 4K miles to see Jimmy Butler sit on the bench
If you scroll through NBA Twitter, you’ll find many people complaining about stars taking rest days. The “load management” discourse is a long and winding road that is sometimes overblown, but occasionally feels heartbreaking when young fans travel long distances to see their favorite players — only for them to be in street clothes on the sidelines.
This was the case Tuesday night in Miami.
The stirred-up drama between Rory McIlroy and Patrick Reed ahead of this week’s Dubai Desert Classic is apparently the gift that keeps on giving.
The back-and-forth between McIlroy, the No. 1 player in the world, and Reed, who joined LIV Golf last year, began on Tuesday when McIlroy ignored Reed when he approached him on the range.
It was reported that Reed threw a tee at McIlroy in frustration, but as you can see in the video below, it was simply a playful toss, and far from aggressive.
So here’s the video of Rory ignoring Patrick Reed and Reed playfully tossing a tee at him. pic.
