ESPN college basketball analyst Robbie Hummel is leaving the network to work for NBC and Fox Sports, according to Andrew Marchand of The New York Post.
Hummel, who spent six years at ESPN calling Big Ten basketball games, is leaving the network due to changes in media rights deals. ESPN distributed Big Ten broadcasts for 40 years but will no longer air the league’s games starting in the 2023-24 season.
As a result, Hummel will become part of NBC’s weekly coverage of Big Ten basketball games. Hummel is slated to broadcast contests aired on Tuesdays, according to the Post.

Broncos coach Sean Payton received plenty of criticism after the Dolphins routed Denver on Sunday, winning 70–20 in a historic victory.
In the aftermath, some observers thought back to various preseason comments by Payton, including one in which he told quarterback Russell Wilson to stop “kissing all the babies” after the team’s disastrous 2022 season.
ESPN’s Ryan Clark referenced that comment during a rant about Payton on Monday morning’s episode of Get Up. Clark argued that Payton has his priorities all mixed up.

The Braves’ Sean Murphy is one of the best power-hitting catchers in the majors. He’s so good, in fact, that he can hit a ball over the fence even when he’s left holding just a toothpick.
Murphy has a career high 21 homers this season, ranking tied for fifth among MLB catchers. His most recent dinger came in the first game of Sunday’s doubleheader against the Nationals. In the ninth inning, Murphy turned on a fastball that Washington reliever Kyle Finnegan left over the heart of the plate and sent it over the wall in center.

Jets superfan and ESPN personality Mike Greenberg let his fandom shine Monday morning when he made a bold statement regarding his favorite team’s quarterback situation by saying the Zach Wilson era should end.
“He cannot be out on the field ever again for the Jets, and I’m going to tell you why,” Greenberg said on ESPN’s Get Up on Monday. “Their chances of winning anything this year are over. They’re not remote. They’re done. They need to try and keep this thing together, and if they run Zach Wilson out there one more time, [wide receiver] Garrett Wilson’s gonna lose it.

To say the Broncos had a rough day at the office defensively Sunday would be an understatement.
Denver’s defense was completely shredded in historic fashion by the Miami Dolphins offense, conceding 70 points in a 50-point blowout loss. That’s the most points surrendered by an NFL team since 1966. And while the Broncos’ offense didn’t help matters with turnovers that gave Miami short fields, it was still an ugly defensive performance. Miami tallied a whopping 726 yards from scrimmage and scored touchdowns on eight of its first nine full drives of the game.

Josh McDaniels’ brainless field goal decision cost the Raiders in Week 3.
The Las Vegas Raiders were starting to mount a fourth quarter comeback against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3 when head coach Josh McDaniels faced a critical fourth down decision late in the game.
The Raiders had the ball inside the Steelers’ 10-yard-line staring at a fourth-and-four with 2:25 remaining in regulation in a game they trailed 23-15. Las Vegas needed a touchdown and the two-point conversion for the tie. For some reason, McDaniels elected to kick a field goal instead.
