Colin Cowherd has made a career of publicly calling out athletes and he continued to do just that after the topic of Russell Wilson was in his sights amid the quarterback’s disappointing start to the 2023 NFL season.
The Fox Sports personality laid into Wilson, calling him washed up after starting the season 0–2 with the Broncos.
“Russell Wilson is 34 and he looks like he’s 39,” he said on The Colin Cowherd Podcast. “He does not have the juice he had previously.

The Bears’ pick-6 was so poorly designed the Bucs said they knew it was coming after the game.
The Chicago Bears might be the NFL’s biggest disappointment through two weeks of the new season. Chicago finished with the worst record in the league last year, but there was hope the team could make a leap after being armed with the No. 1 pick in the draft, the most cap space in football, and a talented young QB in Justin Fields who felt poised to make a leap in his third season.
Instead, it’s all fell apart quickly and painfully.

Mike McDaniel is a treasure.
The Miami Dolphins head coach continues to be both even-keeled and completely unpredictable. And he showed off that personality once again during the Sunday Night Football broadcast.
At the start of halftime, McDaniel paused to chat with NBC’s Melissa Stark about the Dolphins’ dominant first half.
After the interview, the second-year head coach began to jog to the tunnel. Noticing a cameraman (or woman — we don’t know) jogging next to him, McDaniel took off in a full sprint, checking back occasionally to see if the camera crew could keep up.

After the Jets completed an incredible walk-off victory in Week 1 against the Bills, there was a sense of belief and optimism that the team could possibly still do some damage this season, even without Aaron Rodgers.
But the torn left Achilles tendon suffered by Rodgers was as big of a setback as any NFL team could suffer. But now, after a tough Week 2 loss to the Cowboys, who boast one of the NFL’s best defenses, it appears that optimism, specifically in regard to quarterback Zach Wilson is all but gone—at least in the eyes of ESPN host and prominent Jets fan Mike Greenberg.

The NFL kept to its word during Sunday’s Chiefs vs. Jaguars game after announcing the intention to crack down on illegal formation. This appeared to stem largely from Kansas City offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor in Week 1, as his formation sparked a widespread reaction from fans.
Taylor was flagged five times during the team’s 17–9 win on Sunday, including two false starts, one illegal formation and two holding calls. During the third quarter, Chiefs coach Andy Reid even took Taylor briefly out of the game after he was penalized for two holding calls in just three plays.

The Orioles are headed to the playoffs for the first time in seven years and they marked the occasion with a celebration worthy of snapping such a long drought.
With a thrilling 5–4 win in 11 innings over the Rays on Sunday and the Rangers’ loss to the Guardians, Baltimore clinched its first postseason appearance since 2016. Times have been touch for the O’s since that most recent playoff appearance (they had three seasons with at least 108 losses), so everybody was ready to let loose after the trip to October was secured—everybody, including the general manager.

Absent the sort of background he has, now in his 23rd NFL season and seventh as Bills head coach, last week might have seemed like a lot to Sean McDermott.
The loss to the Jets on Monday night was only the beginning, and the resulting questions on Josh Allen, as if he were coming out of Wyoming all over again, would be the easy stuff. The mid-week lawsuit filed by former NFL Network reporter Jim Trotter put team ownership in the crosshairs on a sensitive topic that’d resonate in any locker room.

Travis Hunter will miss at least Colorado’s next three games.
The star WR/CB for the Buffaloes had to be hospitalized after taking an unbelievably brutal shot during the win against Colorado State.
