Bucks guard Jrue Holiday is reportedly on his way to the Trail Blazers, part of a king’s ransom paid to Portland in order to acquire future Hall of Fame guard Damian Lillard.
However, with the Trail Blazers seemingly bent on becoming younger, Holiday may not be long for the Beaver State.
According to Wednesday afternoon reports from Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer and Kyle Neubeck of PHLY Sports, the 76ers are interested in acquiring Holiday from Portland once the Lillard trade is finalized.

Let’s grade the blockbuster Damian Lillard trade for the Bucks, Blazers, and Suns.
Damian Lillard has been traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in a blockbuster three-team deal that sends shockwaves around the NBA just days before teams report to training camp.
Lillard requested a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers on July 1, and hoped to land with the Miami Heat. The Blazers and Heat reportedly had little dialogue throughout the process, which opened the door to other teams.
The NBA world was rocked to its core Wednesday afternoon when the news broke that the Trail Blazers made a blockbuster three-team deal that landed Damian Lillard with the Bucks. It didn’t take long for Lillard to chime in on X, formerly known as Twitter, to confirm the news and tease a more formal goodbye for the city of Portland.
“The casuals won’t be addressed but the trailblazers fans and city of Portland that I love truly will be … and they will be addressed truthfully. Stay tuned,” he wrote on X.
The Bucks were set to enter the 2023–24 NBA season with not only question marks about the future of Giannis Antetokounmpo, but potentially very real concerns as well. The 28-year-old star has made it widely known with comments this offseason that winning a title is his number one priority and that he would be willing to pursue an opportunity outside of Milwaukee if he felt a championship was out of reach.
His approach to the topic, and the team’s inability to make a run in the postseason the past two seasons added significant pressure on this upcoming year.
Braves starting pitcher Spencer Strider was recently asked about his hottest baseball take, and his answer may not sit well with fans of the sport, largely because it involves removing fans from baseball games.
In an interview with MLB Fits, Strider boldly stated that his hottest baseball take is that “there should be no fans.”
“Absolutely, there should be no fans. 2020 season, no fans. Get rid of the fans,” said Strider. “It’s too loud. Everybody be quiet. We don’t need the cheering, we know you’re watching, I don’t need the fans.
The Bucks are forming a new big three.
In a massive twist, Milwaukee is acquiring Damian Lillard in a three-team trade after months of rumors surrounding the seven-time All-Star. Lillard had requested a trade to the Heat earlier this summer, and now he joins the team Miami knocked out en route to the Finals.
The Bucks will send Jrue Holiday and a first-round pick to the Trail Blazers, while also sending Grayson Allen to Phoenix. The Suns, meanwhile, will ship Deandre Ayton to Portland. In addition to Allen, Phoenix is acquiring Jusuf Nurkic, Keon Johnson and Nassir Little in the trade.
Michigan State has fired football coach Mel Tucker for cause, saying he “brought public disrespect, contempt and ridicule upon the university.
Brooks Koepka says the LIV Golf hopefuls who missed out on a U.S. Ryder Cup team spot should have played better to force their way into the reckoning.
Memphis freshman Mikey Williams remains away from the team while the legal process plays out regarding his April arrest, the school announced Wednesday.
New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones wasn’t interested in revisiting New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner’s claim that he delivered a low blow.
