UConn rolled Miami in the Final Four on Saturday night, defeating the Hurricanes in a wire-to-wire victory to earn a spot in the national championship game. The Huskies did so even though Jordan Hawkins, one of the team’s best players, was dealing with an illness. 
After the game, Hawkins admitted that he believes he had food poisoning from a dinner earlier in the week while in Houston. The sophomore guard isn’t exactly sure what caused the illness, but he does have a hunch.

Caitlin Clark is a superstar. Iowa’s high-scoring, sharp-shooting, smack-talking guard has blossomed into a household name over the course of the last three years, but her popularity has skyrocketed throughout the 2023 Women’s NCAA Tournament.
She out-scored the Hawkeyes football team in 2022 during just eight postseason games this spring and continues to talk her talk while dominating every opponent in her path, no matter how big or small. Clark has yet to be stopped and led Iowa to its first-ever national championship appearance.

Well, for those of us here in the U.S. of A who stayed up into the wee hours of the morning to catch the Australian Grand Prix live, we were treated to one wild race.
And a lot — a lot — of red flags.
It seemed like the Australian Grand Prix was going to provide some excitement and we didn’t have to wait long to see some.
At the start, the focus was on the first two rows consisting of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen followed by Mercedes George Russell and Lewis Hamilton, then Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso.

Kim Mulkey led LSU women’s basketball to its first-ever national championship appearance in just her second year as head coach, but it might not even be the coolest thing to come out of the Final Four. The 60-year-old Basketball Hall of Famer might end up on a Lil Wayne track when it’s all said and done!
Mulkey, who left Baylor for Baton Rouge in April of 2021, won three national titles with the Bears, reached five Final Fours, and made the NCAA Tournament in all but one year. When she took over the Tigers, there was an expectation that she would succeed.

As the XFL wraps up its seventh week of its 10-game regular season schedule in 2023, the Las Vegas Vipers have played their final home game. It likely marks the end of the worst field in the league.
Poor one out.
The XFL was able to secure legitimate playing fields for the majority of their teams. Except for the Vipers.

The day goes from bad to worse for Ferrari in Melbourne
Ahead of the Australian Grand Prix, the mood around Ferrari was rather positive, despite the difficult start to their 2023 Formula 1 season. Prior to qualifying, reserve driver Robert Shwartzman was part of the coverage on F1TV, and he described the feeling around the team as “very good.”
That is certainly not the case following the Grand Prix itself.
