New York got its first look at the city’s vaunted superteam Sunday.
The festivities in Brooklyn began with a message from new addition Breanna Stewart, who took center court to tell the Barclays Center crowd, “It’s good to be home.”
The spotlight stayed on Stewie after tipoff, with the star forward hammering the Fever early, dishing a dime down low to fellow 2023 acquisition Jonquel Jones. She went on to sink four of her five attempted threes in the opening frame.

Brooks Koepka already had his name etched into the Wanamaker Trophy twice before winning his third PGA Championship on Sunday. Brooks Koepka thought he would never be a major winner again, but he didn’t accept that fate. Instead, he dominated the 2023 PGA Championship to claim his third Wanamaker Trophy and join some elite company. He beat out Viktor Hovland and Scottie Scheffler by two strokes to win at 9-under.
