LeBron James is still sidelined by the foot injury he sustained a few weeks ago, but head coach Darvin Ham stated on Sunday that the Lakers are expecting to have their star forward back “at some point” before the season is over.
Via ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, Ham provided an update on James’ injury, and while he didn’t hone in on a specific date, he indicated a return during the regular season is on the cards for the 38-year-old.
“We anticipate him coming back at some point,” said Ham of LeBron.

Fan-favorite Vikings wideout Adam Thielen is getting a change of scenery after playing in Minnesota since 2013. However, the move isn’t much of an upgrade for the vet.
Thielen is joining the offensive rebuild in Carolina, signing with the Panthers to a three-year deal, announced Sunday by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Michigan State pulled off a major upset on Sunday in order to reach the Sweet 16 of the 2023 men’s NCAA tournament. After taking down No. 2 seed Marquette, Spartans head coach Tom Izzo couldn’t hide hold back his emotions during his post-game interview.
The 68-year-old was moved to tears after Michigan State clinched its first Sweet 16 berth since 2019, explaining how proud he was of the team after what he described as a “long year.”

The two-time Pro Bowler has a new NFL home.
The Panthers are adding to their receiving corps via free agency, having reportedly agreed to a three-year deal with former Vikings wideout Adam Thielen, according to reports from Ian Rapoport and Pat McAfee.
The terms of the deal have not yet been reported, but Thielen confirmed the news via his Instagram account by posting a video story of his children celebrating and singing “Sweet Caroline.”
The 32-year-old spent the first nine years of his career with the Vikings before the team opted to release him this offseason.

The Spartans reached the regional semifinals for the first time since 2019.
After four years away, Michigan State is back in the Sweet 16.
Warding off a spirited second-half comeback from Marquette, the Spartans downed the Golden Eagles, 69–60, in the second round of the men’s NCAA tournament in Columbus on Sunday to reach the East Regional semifinals.
Guard Tyson Walker led the way for Michigan State, tallying 23 points. Forward Joey Hauser added 14 points and 10 rebounds in a game where Marquette held the Spartans to 2-for-16 shooting from beyond the three-point line.
