And with that, the Warriors and Knicks each face do-or-die Game 5s at home.

Lakers top Warriors, 104-101, now one game away from Conference Finals
Those plucky Lakers. Always finding ways to pull out a win, even when the man making it possible is the unlikeliest source. Yes, LeBron James and Anthony Davis did their parts, per usual, scoring 27 and 23 points, respectively, with Davis pulling down a game-high 15 rebounds.

It started last week with the Alabama baseball program, and now it has spread to two more schools in the state of Iowa. Gambling has been a topic of discussion for conferences around college athletics over the past year, but it’s now coming to a head.
Alabama fired baseball coach Brad Bohannon last week after he was alleged to have used a runner to place numerous bets at a sports book in Ohio. On Monday, news broke that Iowa and Iowa State both are dealing with problems stemming from student athletes and online gambling.

There’s the Curse of the Bambino. The Curse of the Billy Goat. The SI cover jinx. The Curse of the Madden cover. Professional sports have endured more than their share of curses over the years. Well, I’ve stumbled upon another one that could affect your 2023 fantasy drafts.
I’ve called it the “Curse of Barry Sanders.”
In 1989, the Lions drafted Sanders with the third overall pick in the NFL draft. He went on to become one of the greatest running backs not only in the history of the NFL, but also in the world of fantasy football.

The Buccaneers announced Tuesday they are signing former Rams quarterback John Wolford. The details of the deal are unknown at this time.
Wolford now joins a quarterback room that consists of 2021 second-round pick Kyle Trask and former Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield as the team looks for its new starting signal-caller to replace Tom Brady, who recently retired.
The 27-year-old went undrafted out of Wake Forest in 2018 but signed with the Jets that offseason. He wasn’t there for long and was cut that September.

The NBA on TNT crew continues to be the best part of the playoffs by bringing fans all sorts of good laughs every night they’re on TV.

Shaq thought he was making a great point but then his pals quickly let him know that he was just a little off in his assessment.

The Lakers are preparing to give out a hilarious number of rings if they win the NBA Championship
The Lakers are without a doubt one of the best and funniest stories in the NBA this season. It was only a few months ago that this team was legitimately one of the worst in the league, looking for trades and answers to right the ship — even then the consensus back then was that they didn’t do enough.
Now Los Angeles are one game away from the Western Conference Finals, and legitimately feel like the hottest team in the NBA.

There are calls for West Virginia to fire men’s basketball coach Bob Huggins, and for good reason: He casually uttered a hateful term repeatedly on a Cincinnati radio show, somehow managing to offend Catholic and LGBTQIA+ communities, along with anyone who is a member of both or cares about either. It was unprompted and inexcusable. Of course people want him to be fired.
Me? I want him to resign.
Not as punishment. Not to forfeit a buyout. I want Huggins to resign.

It’s hard to believe that Bill Cowher hasn’t coached in the NFL since 2006. The former Steelers coach walked away at the time with many believing that he was just taking a break from coaching, not retiring for good.
Cowher has been an NFL studio analyst for CBS Sports ever since, and is likely known more for that role than his previous coaching role by the younger generation of football fans.
So why didn’t Cowher ever return to coaching following his resignation in Pittsburgh? It turns out it had everything to do with how he felt about the Steelers.
