The NBA could be on the verge of swapping the All-Star game’s current format of a player draft back to a matchup between the Eastern and Western conferences, according to The Athletic’s Mike Vorkunov and Shams Charania.
The news comes after the NBA and the NBPA agreed to discuss the idea of making the annual exhibition game more competitive in recent months as part of the league’s new collective bargaining agreement, per the Athletic. The USC Trojans will need a new athletic director after Mike Bohn’s unexpected announcement.
Bohn announced his resignation from the position on Friday afternoon after four years leading USC’s athletic programs.
He issued a statement to the Los Angeles Times announcing his resignation and explaining his decision in more detail.
“After more than 40 years of college athletics leadership, it is the right time to step away from my position as Director of Athletics at the University of Southern California,” Bohn explained.

On the occasion of a man’s death, society rushes to succinctly define that man. Jim Brown, the legendary Browns running back, has died, according to multiple reports. Brown’s wife, Monique Brown, confirmed the news of the icon’s death on Instagram Friday afternoon, announcing he “passed peacefully” in their Los Angeles home Thursday night.
He was 87 years old.
After turning in a statement performance in the Nuggets’ Game 2 win over the Lakers, Jamal Murray stamped his big night with a strong message to those still questioning his game since his return from injury.
