It’s been a rough week at Churchill Downs. There are now more than half a dozen horses that have been euthanized in the lead-up to the Kentucky Derby.
Just hours after news broke that a sixth horse needed to be euthanized after suffering a knee injury during a race on the undercard, another horse needed to be put down.

Canelo Alvarez will again take center stage on Saturday with the Mexican superstar set to return to his home country to defend his undisputed super middleweight championship against John Ryder. Freezing Point is the seventh horse to die at Churchill Downs in Louisville ahead of the 149th annual Kentucky Derby on Saturday.
The three-year-old colt, trained by Joe Lejzerowicz, suffered a left ankle injury during the backstretch of the Grade 2 Pat Day Mile and was euthanized. Lejzerowicz told the Associated Press that Fort Bragg came over and slammed into Freezing Point during the race.
“He [Freezing Point] just got bumped in the backstretch,” Lejzerowicz said. “He never took a bad step or bobble. He had a big heart.”

Tiger Woods is the subject of a sexual harassment allegation in a new court filing by ex-girlfriend Erica Herman.
The accusation stems from an NDA that Herman signed in 2017 during their relationship.
Herman alleges that she had to sign the NDA, or lose her job at Woods’ restaurant in Jupiter, Florida.
“Mr. Woods was Ms. Herman’s boss,’’ her attorney, Benjamin Hobas wrote in a court filing. “On Mr. Woods’ own portrayal of events, he imposed an NDA on her as a condition to keep her job when she began having a sexual relationship with him.

A wobble from Max Verstappen and a slide off the track from Charles Leclerc during the third qualifying session opened the door, and Sergio Pérez barged through, finishing on pole for Sunday’s Miami Grand Prix.
Verstappen was fastest through the first two qualifying sessions, and went out early in Q3 to avoid traffic and try and lay down the marker for the field. But a wobble through Turns 7 and 8 forced him to abandon the lap.
