Former MLB star Dick Groat, whose baseball career spanned 14 seasons and saw two World Series titles with the Pirates and Cardinals and featured eight All-Star appearances, died on Thursday, the Pirates announced. He was 92.
Groat, a Pennsylvania native, spent his first nine big-league seasons with Pittsburgh, debuting in 1952 before a two-year absence while serving in the military. His Pirates career peaked in 1960 with a National League MVP win and World Series championship.

While the Jets managed to restructure Aaron Rodgers’s massive contract in signing him, the franchise will now be obligated to pay him more than $100 million in 2024.
The four-time MVP and the Packers converted a $58.3 million option bonus for 2023 into a base salary in ’24 before Rodgers was traded. As a result, Rodgers will earn a base salary of $1.165 million in the upcoming season according to ESPN’s Dan Graziano.
But in ’24, the compensation for the 39-year-old will rise to $107.55 million, which includes his $47 million option bonus, his $1.

Patrick Reed treated himself to a new car shortly after winning the Masters in 2018. It wasn’t just any new car, either, it was a $450,000 Porsche 911 GT2 and he put his own touch on the vehicle by having it Masters themed.
The body of the car was painted dark green, slightly darker than Masters green, with yellow brake calipers. Reed showed off some photos of the custom car back in September 2019 to his Instagram.
