Pittsburgh ranked seventh in ERA last year, and it’s easy to see why. The team has more pitching than it knows what to do with.
Dan Plesac, a three-time All-Star who pitched two seasons for the Pirates in the mid-1990s, is particularly impressed by Pittsburgh’s starting rotation. He likes it so much that he recently compared it to a famous National League dynasty on MLB Network.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish Men’s Lacrosse team took it to Bellarmine on Tuesday afternoon. 29-10 was the final score and if you were looking for fireworks at Arlotta, you got them all day as lots of records and individual highs were hit on the day. The 29 goals is the most ever by the Irish and same with the 19 assists. That is 48 overall points in the game which makes that a record as well.
