The Boston Celtics have built their teams in a number of ways over the decades, but few if any methods have born more fruit than through the NBA draft. The best players to suit up for the Celtics have, by and large, come to Boston either through being taken directly in the annual event, or via trades made that night.
And it is not just the top stars who have been picked up by the Celtics via the draft. Countless members of the storied ball club’s alumni have been taken by the team via that annual event, and some schools are better represented than others.
Illinois-Chicago commit and Crown Point (Ind.) graduate Dikembe Shaw led the way for the Indiana senior high-school all-star varsity team last night as they met Kentucky’s all-star team for their yearly clash. The infamous rivalry has been a staple in the varsity calendar since 1940.
The Indiana All-Star announced his commitment to the Flames before the start of his Senior year. This came after a junior season where he averaged 16.2 points and 6.7 rebounds, leading his school to the IHSAA Class 4A state semifinals.

The Green Bay Packers had two players named to All-Pro teams last year. Micah Parsons, who had 12.5 sacks in just 14 games played, was voted First Team All-Pro (and finished fifth in Defensive Player of the Year voting). Safety Xavier McKinney was named Second Team All-Pro in his second season with Green Bay. He had been First Team All-Pro in 2024.
In addition to these two players, Keisean Nixon is a two-time First Team All-Pro kick returner, though he no longer fills that role on the team.
