The 2026 NHL Draft comes to us from Buffalo on Friday night for one of the biggest nights in hockey. It’s an opportunity for teams to find their stars of the future, and always rewards the organizations who have invested resources into their scouting departments, while identifying the most-talented scouts along the way.
If you ask a dozen NBA analysts what they think will happen with star Celtics forward Jaylen Brown after the team’s failed attempt to trade for Milwaukee Bucks star big man Giannis Antetokounmpo, and you might get as many takes as to the specifics of the Georgia native’s future. But there appears to be a sizable subset of those analysts who increasingly believe that Brown will be suiting up for another ball club by the start of the 2026-27 NBA regular season.
And we can count among them Ringer podcast host and league analyst Zach Lowe among them.
After a run of majors and signature events, the PGA Tour turns to one of its grassroots events, the John Deere Classic.
The JDC is held annually at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois, with this year marking the 26th time hosting. This is also the 28th year that John Deere is the sponsor, second longest on the circuit.
The field for the tournament was announced Friday afternoon.
The Washington Huskies snagged another verbal commitment from Sandra Day O’Connor High School for its 2027 recruiting class on Thursday with the addition of long snapper Braylon Logan.
Listed at 6-foot-2 and 240 pounds, Logan hails from the same high school as four-star running back commit Jeremy Adeyanju, in Arizona, and ultimately chose Jedd Fisch, special teams coordinator Chris Petrilli, and the Huskies over an offer from the in-state Wildcats.
“1000 percent committed to UW football,” Logan wrote in a post on social media to announce his decision.
