TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — No. 4 Alabama falls at home to No. 11 Oklahoma, 23-21.
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — The Illini’s first game out of the bye week was a hard-fought, gritty one as they battled their way to a 24-6 win over the Maryland Terrapins at Gies Memorial Stadium.
While the final score might tell a different story, the Orange and Blue were stumbling out of the gates, punting on three of their first four drives.
Leading 7-6 late in the second quarter, Illinois opted to roll the dice on a fourth-and-short in the red zone, rather than kicking a field goal.
The gamble ended up paying off, as offensive coordinator Barry Lunney Jr.

Oklahoma’s College Football Playoff hopes got a huge boost in Tuscaloosa.
The No. 11 Sooners upset No. 4 Alabama 23-21 to move to 8-2 overall and 4-2 in the SEC. Oklahoma’s defense forced three turnovers and stopped Alabama late in the fourth quarter.
On the first play after the 2-minute warning, Kip Lewis sacked Alabama QB Ty Simpson for an 11-yard loss at the Alabama 33-yard line.
Rutgers men’s basketball improved to 3-0 on the young season after defeating the Lehigh Mountain Hawks, 84-72, on Friday evening at Jersey Mike’s Arena. As Knight fans know all too well during the Steve Pikiell era, there are no guaranteed wins in the November out-of-conference schedule, which features opponents who make up for their lack in size with speed, quickness, and impressive shot-making. The Scarlet Knights withstood the Mountain Hawks’ best punch, executing in crunch time to pull away late and secure the victory.

Conor Benn put on a dominant performance to earn revenge over bitter rival Chris Eubank Jr and seal a unanimous decision victory in their rematch at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Eubank, who won on points when they first fought in April, looked shot-shy throughout and had no answer to a heavy-handed Benn.
Benn held a wide lead going into the final round when he put Eubank down twice before triumphantly stepping up on to the ropes to celebrate when the final bell rang.
The judges scored it 119-107, 116-110 and 118-108 in Benn’s favour.
“This is the end of the Benn-Eubank saga, over.
