I want to pose for you, my dear readers, a hypothetical scenario.
Let’s say you’re coaching a football game, and it’s all tied at 13 with less than two minutes to go in the fourth quarter.
Your do-it-all running back just got stuffed on 3rd and goal, and your opponent is out of timeouts and playing with a backup quarterback.
You are hanging out at the 1-yard line with a chance to kick a field goal and take a lead.
I’m sure most of you would take the points in this situation (unless you’re an analytics nerd, but we will discuss that in a bit).

Sundayโ€™s slate of NFL action has already seen Jordan Love and Bryce Young spend some time in their teamโ€™s respective blue medical tents.
Add Justin Herbert to the list.
The Los Angeles Chargers quarterback went into the blue medical tent after taking a hard hit on a sack in Sundayโ€™s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars late in the second half. You can see the play in question here:

A few plays after losing quarterback Jordan Love to an injury, the Green Bay Packers lost running back Josh Jacobs to a knee injury in the first half against the New York Giants on Sunday.
Love exited with a left shoulder injury but returned after missing one series. Jacobs injured his knee at the end of a touchdown drive and is questionable to return, per the Packers. He went back to the locker room after being evaluated on the sideline.
Jacobs’ final play was a run that gained no yards from the 1-yard line.
