HOUSTON (AP) — The Houston Texans improved to .500 for the first time this season with a last-second win over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
But they know they’ll have to play much better Thursday if they hope to win their third straight when they host the Buffalo Bills on Thursday night.
The Texans (5-5) made a 35-yard field goal in the final seconds to lift them to a 16-13 win over the 1-9 Titans this weekend.
But they were shut out in the first half as they struggled to move the ball for most of the game playing a second straight game with backup quarterback Davis Mills.
The Patriots announced a handful of roster moves on Monday.
They have signed tight end C.J. Dippre to their active roster. Dippre was on the team’s practice squad and they opened a spot for him by waiving safety John Saunders.
Dippre signed with the Patriots after going undrafted out of Alabama. He joined the practice squad after failing to make the 53-man roster this summer and has not appeared in any games during the regular season.
Saunders was signed off of the Dolphins’ practice squad last month, but he has not seen any game action.

Cincinnati Bengals Pro Bowl wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase is appealing his one-game suspension by the NFL following his altercation with Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back Jalen Ramsey on Nov. 16, a source told The Enquirer.
Chase denied spitting on Ramsey following the game. The NFL announced the punishment for Chase on Nov. 17 after a viral video of Chase spitting on Ramsey surfaced. Ramsey was ejected from the game after throwing a punch on Chase.
Chase is set to miss the Bengals’ upcoming game against the New England Patriots barring a successful appeal.

The organization promoted tight end C.J. Dippre to the 53-man roster and waived safety John Saunders Jr. to make room on Monday, it was announced amid a series of moves.
Dippre, 23, arrived in Foxborough as part of the 2025 undrafted class in May. The 6-foot-5, 256-pound rookie tight end now joins an active depth chart featuring captain Hunter Henry and fellow veteran Austin Hooper, who has been in the NFL’s concussion protocol.
