Nebraska is back at home after winning the Emerald Coast Classic and extended their record to 7-0. Nancy Lieberman Award candidate Britt Prince captured tournament MVP honors by averaging 24.0 points and 6.5 rebounds in the two tournament games. The 5-11 sophomore point guard tied her career high with 30 points while adding six assists in the win over the Cavaliers. Welcome to December fantasy football! It’s Week 14 and the outdoors is getting colder and windier and we don’t want some idiot kicker foiling our plans by slipping in some snow! So, keep your head on a swivel and pay attention to the weather or lack thereof in those comfy domes, which are actually the opposite of a snow globe.
We’re at that point in the season when we can really find great matchups for our D/STs. Quarterback attrition, giving up, and having something to play for can all come together for some lopsided affairs.
Week 14 byes
Carolina Panthers, New England Patriots, New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers
D/ST streamer of the week
Tampa Bay Buccaneers D/ST vs Saints
These two teams met in Week 8 the Bucs’ D/ST put up 26 points. It was the game Spencer Rattler was benched and Tyler Shough took over. They were both awful in that matchup and the Bucs took advantage.
Week 14 is here! We’ve got three startable tight ends on bye this week, so we’ll need to find some replacements. And hopefully we get Dalton Kincaid back against the Bengals this week! Let’s take a look.
Week 14 byes
Carolina Panthers, New England Patriots, New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers
Tight ends on bye
Ja’Tavion Sanders, Hunter Henry, Theo Johnson, George Kittle
TE streamer of the week
Brenton Strange, Jaguars vs. Colts
Strange has returned from I.R. and picked right back up where he left off. He’s caught 8-of-9 targets for 138 yards and one touchdown.
You won’t find many silver linings from losing 10 of your first 12 games. The New Orleans Saints are a flawed football team, and they’ll need a lot of help to get back to respectability — and if there’s something to feel optimistic about, it’s the high pick they’re closing in on in the 2026 NFL draft. Adding a top-three talent from the college game could be transformative for either side of the ball.
Blackburn Premier League winner Kevin Gallacher says teams will expect Rovers’ current crop to collapse in the closing stages of games.
Ipswich stole a point at Ewood Park in the 94th minute on Tuesday, just four days after Wrexham denied Valerien Ismael’s side a win with a 95th-minute leveller.
Seven of the 23 goals Blackburn have conceded in their 18 Championship games have come in the 90th minute or later, costing them seven points – which would have seen 18th-placed Rovers within two points of fourth-placed Stoke instead.
The College Football Playoff news isn’t positive for the Texas Longhorns and head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff aren’t in the mix to sign the nation’s top recruiting class again in 2026, but those realities should only be minor dampers on Early Signing Day, a time for optimism about the program’s future with the hope that at least 25 prospects ink on Wednesday.
🎥 Süper Lig goal stands despite brawl, you’ve never seen one like this
In the Turkish Süper Lig, tempers often flare – that’s well-known.
However, what happened last Saturday between Gaziantep and Eyüpspor was something we hadn’t seen before…
It was already the fifth minute of injury time when two opposing players suddenly got into a scuffle. Quickly, some teammates rushed over to support their fellow player.
Unfortunately, one of those teammates was Eyüpspor’s goalkeeper Marcos Felipe.
As soccer players prepare for the World Cup in the US, is Los Angeles ready for the deluge of fans set to embrace the city? Sven Hoppe/dpa
For organizers of the 2026 World Cup, Friday’s tournament draw is a like the bell lap of a long-distance race, the moment when the slow slog turns into a sprint.
“This is going to be huge,” said Kathryn Schloessman, president and chief executive officer of the Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission. “This is going to be a big deal.”
Schloessman has been preparing for that big deal for most of the last eight years.
Chris Paul says the Los Angeles Clippers are sending him home from their road trip, putting a shocking twist on what is expected to be the veteran point guard’s final NBA season.
“Just Found Out I’m Being Sent Home,” Paul posted on social media at around 3 a.m. Wednesday morning, adding a peace emoji.
The struggling Clippers are in Atlanta for a road game against the Hawks on Wednesday night. Los Angeles lost at Miami on Monday night to fall to 5-16 in a wildly disappointing start to the season.
