It’s almost impossible to imagine a series as evenly matched as American League Division Series between the Detroit Tigers and the Seattle Mariners.
The Tigers won game one 3-2 in Seattle on a single from Zach McKinstry in the 11th inning. That seemed to give them a significant series advantage, with likely AL Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal set to start game two. But while he struck out nine hitters through seven innings, Jorge Polanco got him for two solo home runs.

Iconic. It doesn’t matter if the racing at Daytona International Speedway involves two wheels or four — the track’s importance is coded into every racer’s DNA. For that matter, every mechanic, official, and fan also feels the draw to the World Center of Speed.
“Going through that tunnel, (everyone realizes) this is Daytona. This is special. Everyone wants to race there and win there,” Frank Kelleher, President of Daytona International Speedway, told NBC Sports during the SuperMotocross season finale.

After struggling to keep up with the Las Vegas Aces during much of this WNBA Finals series, the Phoenix Mercury losing Game 4 97-86 and getting swept on Friday night wasn’t totally unexpected. The way it happened was.
First, the Mercury were forced to play in Game 4 without All-Star Satou Sabally after she sustained a concussion in Game 3.
