The Browns opened up a spot on their 53-man roster by trading quarterback Joe Flacco to the Bengals on Tuesday and they filled it on Wednesday morning.
Cornerback Dom Jones has been signed off of the practice squad. Jones was out of temporary elevations after appearing in three games for the Browns already this season.
Jones played 10 defensive snaps and 15 special teams snaps in those appearances.
The Browns did not sign Bailey Zappe off of the practice squad, so rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders are the only quarterbacks on the active roster.

Sunday wasn’t Quinyon Mitchll’s best day at the office. The Philadelphia Eagles star earned a 46.8 overall grade from Pro Football Focus. That was the lowest mark he had received through five games, one comprised of coverage, tackling, and run defense grades of 50.3, 53.9, and 37.0, respectively.
PFF puts a lot into its statistical engine. Some swear by it. Some say their grades don’t provide an accurate take on how well or poorly a player is performing. It is, however, easy to find value in what they present.

We knew when the season started that the Baltimore Ravens would be without the services of their young tight end, Isaiah Likely. Most didn’t worry. Everyone knew that he’d be back as part of the lineup at some point.
