WOODHAVEN – The battle of unbeatens for the Downriver League lead came down to the final minute.
Gibraltar Carlson wiped out a 23-21 deficit with a late touchdowns to pull out a 27-23 victory.
“What a huge emotional win tonight,” Carlson coach Jason Gendron said. “I couldn’t be more proud of our coaches and players for fighting to the final whistle. Both teams played their hearts out. It was everything you could ask for with two undefeated teams battling for first place in the league.”
Izaiah Wright scored three touchdowns for the Marauders.

The Las Vegas Aces, powered by 31 points from A’ja Wilson, captured their third title in four seasons on Friday, beating Phoenix 97-86 to complete a sweep of the WNBA Finals.
Wilson went 7-of-21 from the floor but 17-of-19 from the free throw line and added nine rebounds, four assists, three blocked shots and two steals as the visiting Aces took the best-of-seven championship series 4-0.
