Cincinnati Bengals starting quarterback Joe Burrow was on the sideline for the team’s NFL Week 7 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Paycor Stadium on Amazon Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football.
Joe Flacco is making his second start for the Bengals. The 40-year-old Flacco is facing 41-year-old Aaron Rodgers of the Steelers. Steelers defensive lineman Cam Heyward dubbed the matchup the “Icy Hot Bowl.”
Burrow suffered a turf-toe injury during the second quarter of the team’s home-opening NFL Week 2 game against Jacksonville at Paycor Stadium.

According to the Lexington Herald-Leader, the 2025-26 Wildcats roster carries a staggering payroll of roughly $22 million, making it by far the most expensive in college basketball history. For comparison, most top-tier programs are floating somewhere around the $10 million range.
The number reportedly doubled expectations and is more than five times what John Calipari‘s final roster cost in 2023 — less than $4 million — even with five top-40 recruits and multiple NBA draft picks.

North Carolina’s football program was willing to explore some untraditional avenues for funding.
The school confirmed to the Athletic Thursday afternoon that general manager Michael Lombardi made an August trip to Saudi Arabia. Per the report, Lombardi went “to gauge interest in whether the country’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) would be interested in investing in Tar Heels football.”
A spokesperson for the school said that Lombardi’s trip came via an invitation from the country and it was a “exploratory fundraising trip” paid for by the country’s government.

Not only did the Rams (10-3) beat Cape Tech (6-4-1), 1-0, but they also clinched the Mayflower Small Vocational Championship.
