The Cleveland Cavaliers’ uneven start to the season continued on Wednesday. They struggled to keep pace with a mediocre Portland Trail Blazers team and paid the price. We’ll see if they learned anything as they take on the San Antonio Spurs on Friday.
The Spurs are a good team, even without their all-world center. Vicktor Wembanyama will be missing his team’s annual trip to Cleveland for the second season in a row. He last played on Nov. 16. The Spurs have done well in his absence as they’re 6-2 since he last played.

Thursday Night Football has a playoff feel between the Dallas Cowboys and the Detroit Lions, as both teams are fighting for their playoff lives.
But for the Cowboys, that fight has become a little bit harder.
Standout wide receiver CeeDee Lamb exited the game early in the third quarter after landing awkwardly on a play in the end zone. Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott targeted Lamb on a throw along the right sideline and Lamb attempted a twisting catch, but crashed to the turf awkwardly on his left arm, while also hitting his head.

Cincinnati Bengals wideout Tee Higgins is one step closer to making his big return from injury. 
A day removed from going limited and having Bengals head coach Zac Taylor still declare him as in concussion protocol, Higgins went “full” on Thursday’s injury report. 
That uptick in status is the best possible sign the Bengals could deliver before they dish out the final Week 14 injury report on Friday.
