Despite sitting at 60-62, the Angels continue to be very aggressive in trying to make a run at the playoffs. ESPN’s Jeff Passan reports that Los Angeles is calling up Nolan Schanuel, their first round pick from this year, ahead of their series vs. the Rays.
Schanuel went to Florida Atlantic for the past three seasons and finished his college career with a 1.215 OPS. This year, Schanuel hit .447 with 19 home runs in 59 games for FAU, paving his way to becoming a first round pick.

The Air Force Falcons recently unveiled some incredible uniforms for the game against Navy that honor the Doolittle Raid against Japan.
The raid and the raiders who carried it out struck deep into Japan after Pearl Harbor to let the world know America was back on its feet and bringing death with us. It was a monumental moment in WWII and something that should be celebrated. Those men went on a one-way mission to avenge those lost December 7, 1941.

Jason Bristol of KHOU in Houston asked 76ers star James Harden if his relationship with the franchise was beyond repair.
“I think so,” Harden told him.
The interview with KHOU came days after Harden declared that 76ers team executive Daryl Morey was “a liar” in front of a crowd of fans in China. 
“I’ve been patient all summer,” Harden told Bristol. “For me, it’s just focus on what I can control and getting ready for this season.”
Harden is not expected to report for training camp after the 76ers called off trade talks involving the former all-star last week.
