Alabama football coach Kalen DeBoer made it clear Thursday that the Crimson Tide’s quarterback competition will remain open past spring practice and Saturday’s A-Day festivities.

SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — For the first time in his NHL career, Brad Marchand has scored a goal for someone other than the Boston Bruins.
Marchand scored his first goal since joining the Florida Panthers, a second-period tally on Thursday night that gave his new club a 3-1 lead over the Detroit Red Wings.
Marchand was playing in his eighth game for Florida, after the team pulled off a stunning move at the trade deadline and acquired him from the Bruins — who have been a postseason rival of the Panthers in recent years.

For the NFL, business keeps on booming.
Via Ben Fischer of Sports Business Journal, total league revenue surpassed $23 billion in the most recent fiscal year.
Teams will receive a $416 million distribution from the shared TV, sponsorship, and licensing revenue. It’s an 8.9-percent increase over last year’s figure of $382 million.
That’s significantly more than the 2025 salary cap of $279.2 million.
Back in 2010, Commissioner Roger Goodell articulated a seemingly audacious goal of getting league revenue to $25 billion by 2027.
