James Harden has made himself clear: He’s not going to play for the Sixers this season. But this doesn’t seem like your typical trade request.

Browns wide receivers Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore have both had their moments in the NFL, to be sure. Cooper has four Pro Bowl seasons under his belt, albeit none since his first full season with the Cowboys in 2019. Moore, still only 23, has shown flashes with the Jets.
However, Cooper believes Cleveland’s revamped wide receiver duo can take its collective game to the next level—specifically, a level befitting one of the most prolific offenses of this century.
“It’s been great,” Cooper said Monday. “Elijah makes a lot of plays.
Baltimore Orioles broadcaster Kevin Brown had the perfect call Monday night when San Diego Padres star Juan Soto took a foul ball off the groin.
Brown, who had been in the news last week after he was suspended by Orioles brass for comments about the teams record in previous seasons, proved himself once again to be a professional in the seventh inning Monday night. Soto was early on a changeup and tipped it into the dirt, but the hall bounced up and nailed him in the groin. While Soto keeled over in pain, Brown navigated the call flawlessly.
“That is not where you want it,” Brown said.
Anthony Richardson is the Indianapolis Colts new starting quarterback.
That’s not a prediction or speculation but rather the words right from coach Shane Steichen’s mouth. The coach told reporters as much on Tuesday morning.
Richardson will be the starter for the Colts regular-season opener on Sept. 10.
ORCHARD PARK, NEW YORK – AUGUST 12: Anthony Richardson #5 of the Indianapolis Colts looks to pass the ball during the first quarter of a preseason game against the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium on August 12, 2023 in Orchard Park, New York.
Sage Steele is leaving ESPN after settling her lawsuit with the company over allegations that the network violated her free speech rights.
Steele announced her departure with a post on X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter, on Tuesday morning.
“Life update. Having successfully settled my case with ESPN/Disney, I have decided to leave so I can exercise my first amendment rights more freely. I am grateful for so many wonderful experiences over the past 16 years and am excited for my next chapter. #SteeleStrong,” she posted.

Teddy Bridgewater is rocking an absurd number for the Detroit Lions.
Bridgewater signed with the Lions last week and will likely make his debut in the preseason this Saturday against the Jaguars.
He’ll be wearing an unusual number when he does. Bridgewater will be looking like a lineman or a linebacker because he’ll be wearing number 50.

No, that’s not a joke. It’s his official number listed on the team’s website. The reason is actually surprisingly simple.

Vanderbilt will play the 2023 college football season on a field directly adjacent to a construction site. Its renovation is nowhere near finished.
The Commodores are not the first team to undergo a significant overhaul to its stadium during the season. It’s not that uncommon and this was always the plan.
That doesn’t make the current situation any less jarring visually.
Construction will not be finished on the stadium and its surrounding facilities until 2024. It will be one of the better looking football stadiums in the SEC when it is completed.
The College Football Playoff might be gearing up to make more major changes.
The CFP is currently slated to expand to 12 teams in 2024 with a very simple formatting change. As things stand as of today, there will be six automatic bids for the six highest-ranked conference champs and then six at-large bids for the next highest-ranked teams.
However, that format was devised and created when the PAC-12 was still a power conference. Those days are over.
There’s been a mass exodus and the PAC-12 is now just left with four teams remaining as of 2024.

PGA Tour fan favorite, Dahmen keeps golf fun. Now he’s partnering with Bushmills Irish Whiskey as a whiskey caddie to create ‘Joel’s Juicy Lie.’
Golf is all about having fun for PGA Tour pro Joel Dahmen.
It’s essential to keep golf light and fun for him. He has dealt with his fair share of adversities. From having cancer early on to battling through his struggles as a professional golfer, he makes it a point not to take life too seriously.
“I think it’s a balance,” Dahmen said in an exclusive with SB Nation’s Playing Through.
