Cillian Mullen is a junior rower at the University of Washington. 
Mullen is a biological female, but identifies as a transgender man. Mullen’s Instagram profile reflects this, proudly announcing “he/him” pronouns. USRowing, the national governing body for the sport, has posted about Mullen, using those very same pronouns. 
Those posts note that “he” (Mullen) is racing in women’s events. 
Women’s events. 
To be clear: there is nothing wrong with Mullen competing on the women’s team from a competitive fairness standpoint. Mullen is a female.

The National Player of the Year debate between Auburn‘s Johni Broome and Duke’s Cooper Flagg is almost over. However, many experts are still sharing their opinions on the matter as March Madness is in its final weekend.
Former Villanova head coach and now CBS analyst Jay Wright was the latest to give his take on the debate during a recent Q&A session with CBS Sports writer David Cobb. When asked about his preference, Wright went with the “value” aspect before giving the edge to Broome.

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Paul Skenes needed nearly three innings to warm up Wednesday, then struck out six over seven innings and the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Tampa Bay Rays 4-2 at George M. Steinbrenner Field.
Oneil Cruz hit his second home run of the season and drove in another to give Skenes, the 2024 National League Rookie of the Year, his first win of 2025.
The 22-year-old right-hander did not walk a batter and was on the mound when the Rays scored an unearned run in the sixth.
