Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic is not the kind of guy to revel in the fame that comes with being one of the biggest names in the NBA. I mean, this is the guy who wanted to get the championship parade over with so he could get out of Dodge and jet back to Serbia to hang with his horses.
Now he’s giving some insights into just how much he doesn’t care for being famous.
Jokic joined teammate Michael Porter Jr. on the latter’s podcast, Curious Mike, and on it, the Serbian star talked about his disdain for fame.

Jacksonville turns to backup C.J. Beathard to keep their playoff hopes alive
The Jacksonville Jaguars are reeling.
And the team received even more bad news on Friday.
The Jaguars have lost four-straight games, and now sit tied with the Indianapolis Colts and the Houston Texans atop the AFC South. All three teams enter Week 17 with matching 8-7 records.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have ruled quarterback Trevor Lawrence out for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers, the team announced on Friday. Backup quarterback C.J. Beathard will get the start instead.
Lawrence has started every game for Jacksonville since being the first pick in the 2021 NFL draft, a total of 49 straight games played in the NFL. The quarterback was known for his durability, as he didn’t miss a game due to injury with Clemson in college either, and this will be his first injury scratch since high school.

The college recruiting world can get pretty feisty between schools while battling for a high-profile prospect. This was obviously the case for 5-star Colorado commit Jordan Seaton as multiple schools tried to land him down the stretch, some of them apparently attacking Deion Sanders in the process.
So it shouldn’t come as a shock that schools were pulling out all the tricks after Seaton, an offensive tackle from IMG Academy, surprised everyone with his commitment to Sanders and Colorado.

The college football world quickly fell in love with the Pop-Tarts Bowl mascot Thursday, and then hours later mourned its death when it was devoured by Kansas State in a scrumptious postgame ceremony.
The mascot continued to make the rounds on the internet Friday, earning the toaster pastry brand a lucrative return on its investment in sponsoring the bowl game.
The Pop-Tarts Bowl generated $12.1 million in media exposure for its parent company, Kellanova, according to Apex Marketing Group.

As an international NBA star, Victor Wembanyama quickly has become one of the world’s most-talked about players. And, while the Spurs rookie keeps finding ways to captivate fans in his new home, the same may not apply when it comes to 19-year-old.
Case in point on Thursday night, when the Spurs’ road win over the Trail Blazers and fellow rookie sensation Scoot Henderson afforded Wembanyama a chance to recall his first experience in one of America’s most popular destinations: Las Vegas.
