Russell Westbrook challenged a heckler to get in his face, and once the fan stepped up, Westbrook seemingly stepped back.
The Clippers guard known for his contentious relationship with fans went at it with a Timberwolves fan on Sunday. Westbrook and the Clippers visited Target Center and lost in more ways than one.
Westbrook overheard a heckler during warmups on Sunday. The fan stepped up to meet Westbrook at the baseline, and once he started to approach the NBA player, Westbrook didn’t come off as brave.
In a shocking turn of events, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and their fans have, apparently, discovered that waking up on the wrong side of the bed may not be such a bad idea.
In fact, the practice seems to be doing wonders for Buccaneers receiver Trey Palmer, as evidenced by the rookie’s blazing 56-yard touchdown during Monday’s 32–9 wild-card win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Hours before his huge TD, Palmer posted on X (formerly Twitter) that he woke up feeling “pissed off.
The second-biggest laptop story of the 2020s is here. Sacramento Kings coach Mike Brown pulled a ridiculous troll job on NBA officials, bringing his laptop to the postgame podium to critique the refs after losing to the Milwaukee Bucks.
Officials ejected Brown on Sunday night after he bickered with a ref. In his postgame appearance, Brown used the laptop to explain his anger during the game — perhaps also challenging his ejection.

Sacramento Kings coach Mike Brown was fined $50,000 following an outburst that led to his ejection during the game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday night.
As a result of the fine, Brown told reporters on Tuesday that he is canceling his family trip to Lake Tahoe. The coach joked that his family’s skiing trip wouldn’t be able to go on unless the Ritz-Carlton was willing to give him a discount.
“The fine is what it is. My partner, she’s upset with me because I was gonna splurge and take them skiing,” said Brown.
The Australian Open commenced second-round play Wednesday in Melbourne. But, some of the fiercest—and, ultimately, more important—battles have been playing out in boardrooms and group texts. A continuation of a theme of 2023, this sport is still divided on if, whether and how to accept the interest—and, of course, the tantalizing infusion of cash—offered by Saudi Arabia.

It sounds like the Pacers are about to go all-in on a star duo of Pascal Siakam and Tyrese Haliburton.
The Feb. 8 NBA trade deadline may still several weeks away, but that hasn’t stopped the Toronto Raptors from getting active in overhauling their roster. Just over two weeks after sending O.G. Anunoby to the New York Knicks, Toronto is now reportedly on the verge of shipping Pascal Siakam to the Indiana Pacers.
Alabama basketball coach Nate Oats got in on the fun when things got a little testy on Tuesday against Missouri.
The Tigers made the trek down to Tuscaloosa for a date with the 11-5 Crimson Tide on Tuesday night, and it didn’t take too long for the heat to get turned up.
With just more than seven minutes to play in the first half, it looked like tempers started to flare. Missouri’s Aidan Shaw stepped in to defend his teammate.
However, Oats wasn’t having it and gave him an unceremonious escort of the fray.
Ivica Zubac has been a huge part of the Clippers’ hot start this season.
