The New York Yankees could be deploying a slightly different alignment in the outfield during the 2024 season.
New York added a pair of outfielders to the mix this offseason with the acquisitions of left fielder Alex Verdugo from the Boston Red Sox and right fielder Juan Soto from the San Diego Padres. The deals added balance to a Yankees lineup that had been mostly right-handed, but also complicated matters defensively, given that the club has just one true center fielder, Trent Grisham, on the roster.

We all know C.J. Stroud is already one of the NFL’s most elite quarterbacks, and he’s only a rookie.
But what’s more important to the Houston Texans quarterback is his Christian faith. Stroud makes time to tell the world about religion any time he makes an appearance on national television.
He does so with class, and it’s a refreshing break from the narcissism many other athletes display. However, our secular, anti-God media despises the fact that Stroud talks about his faith. As you know, the media would prefer it if Stroud talked about racism, LGBT nonsense, or anything woke.

Well, this was not something I thought I’d see today: Hall of Fame netminder Patrick Roy is headed back behind an NHL bench.
While Roy’s name has popped up in the NHL coaching rumor mill from time to time over the years ever since he left the Colorado Avalanche, it’s the New York Islanders who decided to bring the third-winningest goalie in NHL history another shot as an NHL bench boss.
The Isles announced on Saturday they had parted ways with coach Lane Lambert after an overtime loss to the lowly Chicago Blackhawks with Roy taking his spot.

This has hardly been the season USC envisioned when it landed guard Bronny James’s commitment on May 6.
The Trojans entered Saturday’s nationally televised matchup against Arizona State a measly 8-10, having lost three straight games. Things did not get better, as USC lost 82-67 despite outshooting the Sun Devils 46.6% to 42.9%.
Now, the Trojans sit in 11th place in the Pac-12—already four games behind first-place Oregon.

The receiver strolls onto his team’s empty turf practice field, where banners hanging on the far wall unfurl like oversized, ancient scrolls. Each features the same two words: NFL CHAMPIONS. But look closer, lower, at the dates: 1935, ’52, ’53 and ’57, followed by a final poster that announces a division title in … 2023.

Buffalo police are going to get quite the earful from the Bills Mafia if the team loses on Sunday after law enforcement sent out a warning to Bills fans to not jump into ‘The Pit.’
Now what’s The Pit? Well, I’m glad you asked.
Located just a short walking distance away from the Bills current Highmark Stadium, ‘The Pit’ is the site of where construction has started for the team’s new stadium that is expected to be completed by 2026.

Before becoming one of the most lethal scorers in NBA history, Kevin Durant was a one-and-done star at Texas in 2006–07. The Longhorns great still follows college hoops, and during a wild Saturday afternoon in the sport (and an off-day for his Phoenix Suns), he proposed two significant rule changes to align it more closely with pro ball.
First, he calls for college basketball to add the defensive three seconds rule, a rule that was instituted in the NBA ahead of the 2001–02 season. Second, he wants the men’s college game to move to four quarters, rather than two 20 minute halves.

The New York Islanders are tapping a winner to lead their team.
The organization announced Saturday afternoon that Hockey Hall of Famer and legendary former NHL goalie Patrick Roy will replace Lane Lambert as the team’s head coach.
Islanders general manager Lou Lamoriello announced the move as the team sits in sixth place in the Metropolitan Division with 49 points.
Roy previously served as coach of the Colorado Avalanche from the 2013-14 season through the 2015-16 season, compiling a 130–92–24 record.
