If we’re arguing about whether it’s too early to put up the next set of holiday decorations, then it’s not too early to start talking about next year’s NFL draft.
The Panthers have already given the Bears a massive gift, as the first-rounder in 2024 that Carolina traded away is currently on track to be the No. 1 pick. In trading up for Bryce Young last spring, the Panthers have put Chicago in the driver’s seat for the top selection for the second consecutive year—and the Bears just might be tempted to take their own shiny new quarterback this time around.

Merry Christmas, Happy Thanksgiving and — most importantly — welcome back to the McDonalds McRib! Oh yeah, and welcome to Week 11 of the NFL season.
I can’t believe we’re a week away from Turkey Day — otherwise known as maybe the greatest day of TV each year. Seriously.
Macy’s Parade — the non-woke part — in the morning, a little dog show right after and then three straight NFL games to watch while stuffing our fat faces with 18 different variations of stuffing.
This country is truly the best. Imagine living somewhere else. Yuck.

With Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa all enjoying a week off, the MVP race had a chance to get even more absurd in Week 10.
Lamar Jackson faced one of the league’s best defenses in the Browns, providing him with a stiff test in an important AFC North matchup. In Jacksonville, it was Trevor Lawrence dealing with Nick Bosa, Fred Warner and the 49ers’ defense.
Yet nobody made more of a move, either in the MVP race or in the standings, than the Texans’ C.J. Stroud.
Stroud was brilliant for most of Sunday’s game.

Touchdowns drastically increased last week across the NFL with seven teams scoring 30 points or more.
There were also five games that surpassed 50 total points, including the 41–38 thriller between the Lions and Chargers. But my formula of favoring the under bets on a weekly basis again delivered winning results. I went 3–2 for my five best over/under bets in Week 10, including two over bets that hit.
Despite the recent surge in points, I’m going to stick with my method of three under bets and two over bets.

Dan Mullen isn’t ready to fully rule out a return to the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
Mullen was a dominant coach in Starkville by the school’s standards, briefly had the team at number one in America during his tenure and the team only missed a bowl game in year one.
He last coached at Florida in 2021, but with the Bulldogs needing a new coach after firing Zach Arnett, some have wondered whether or not Mullen might return.
While it’s not likely, he hasn’t ruled it out.

The 76ers looked poised to take the top spot in the NBA’s Eastern Conference standings Wednesday night against the Celtics. Philadelphia was playing at home, while Boston was missing two key pieces from its lineup with guard Jaylen Brown and forward Kristaps Porzingis.
However, the Sixers were playing the second of back-to-back games, coming off a 132–126 loss to the Pacers. That may have been the difference in the Celtics’ 117-107 win, carried by Jayson Tatum’s 29 points and 27 from Derrick White.

The TGL virtual golf league led by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy is set to host its first event on January 9, but that start date could now be pushed back after its SoFi Center roof collapsed earlier this week.
A TGL representative explained that an overnight power outage caused the air-supported dome to deflate and cause damage in certain sections of the dome. There were no injuries as a result of the incident.
A photo shared to X, formerly Twitter, certainly confirms that damage was done to a section of the dome.

It’s Week 11! We’ll have to wait until Monday night for the headliner, when one of the most anticipated games of the regular season kicks off. The Chiefs will host the Eagles in a rematch of Super Bowl LVII, with both teams again on top of their conferences in the standings. Andy Reid! Donna Kelce! Many of the same story lines remain in place. The Chiefs are favorites, but two of our pickers have the Eagles pulling the upset.
There are plenty of other big games this week, including a pair of AFC North battles.

Opposing coaches allegedly are using speculation about Deion Sanders and Texas A&M to try to steal recruits.
The Aggies are in the process of finding a new coach after firing Jimbo Fisher, and despite Colorado falling off a cliff, Deion’s name is being thrown around a lot.
Is there anything to suggest Sanders will take the Aggies job or leave for a different one soon? No. His sons are still on the team, and Travis Hunter can’t follow him if he leaves soon. Deion Sanders will be at Colorado in 2024, but that hasn’t stopped some coaches from trying to knife him.
