Although finding players with league-winning upside is an essential part of a successful fantasy draft, avoiding those who have dismal seasons is equally important. This list might help.

Gil Brandt, the Cowboys’ vice president of player personnel from their 1960 inception to 1988 and a Pro Football Hall of Famer, died Thursday morning, the team announced. He was 91.
“We are so deeply saddened by the passing of Gil Brandt–a true icon and pioneer of our sport,” Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said in a statement. “Gil was at the very core of the early success of the Dallas Cowboys and continued to serve as a great ambassador for the organization for decades beyond that.
Sometimes in fantasy football we draft players we’re a bit scared of, hoping they reach their full potential. But there is always that skepticism that things might not pan out as expected.
Celtics star Jayson Tatum actively recruited Damian Lillard to Boston this summer, according to a report from Andscape‘s Marc Spears, but the Trail Blazers star was dead set on joining the Heat.
Trade talks have stalled and Lillard remains in Portland ahead of the start of training camp next month, but the expectation is that if the longtime Blazers star is moved, Miami is the favorite.
Multiple front office executives couldn’t figure out why Dallas made the move. The deal has minimal upside for the franchise. It’s more likely a Jerry Jones ego stroke.
The Battle For ‘Mardi Gras’ will go down on Saturday night in New Orleans, as South Alabama makes the 90 mile trek to face No.24 Tulane.
What should be an exciting game between the two teams, both looking to score a bunch of points on offense, has now picked up some extra steam. Both teams represent cities that know how to throw a party during Mardi Gras season, trust me, I know.
Being from Mobile, Alabama, I know all too well the ingredients of a great party during the parade season, but it’s now spilled onto the football field.
1. The over-the-top coverage of the Jets and Aaron Rodgers has broken ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky.
While Rodgers’s move from Green Bay to New York is the top story line of the 2023 NFL season, you would think 31 other teams don’t exist based on how the media across the board has reacted to Gang Green’s addition of the future Hall of Fame quarterback.
Rodgers was traded from the Packers to the Jets in late April, and, since then, the media has gone on a full-blown assault of “Aaron Rogers is on the Jets now. Will New York get to the Super Bowl?” speculation.
Chicago Cubs catcher Miguel Amaya’s hilarious pitch-framing attempt had the internet in stitches.
In the fifth inning of the Cubs’ matchup with the Milwaukee Brewers, Chicago starter Kyle Hendricks skipped a breaking ball in the dirt to Christian Yelich. But Amaya gloved the pitch smoothly and in one sweeping motion brought the ball up into the strike zone, briefly trying to trick home plate umpire D.J. Reyburn into calling the pitch a strike.
Unfortunately for the Cubs, Reyburn wasn’t fooled, calling the pitch a ball.
Sage Steele joined ‘Don’t @ Me With Dan Dakich’ on Thursday to discuss a wide range of topics including her departure from ESPN, political viewpoints, and much more, including the left’s view on transgender athletes – biological men – competing in women’s sports.
The Democratic party is allegedly the ‘party of science,’ yet the Biden administration continues to push this message that transgender athletes competing against women is somehow complicated.
Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow returned to the practice field Wednesday for the first time since injuring his calf in late July and had some fun announcing his return. He did so by re-upping an iconic meme of himself.
Burrow, an Ohio native, is a fan of the NBA’s Cavaliers, and at some point, the internet discovered a hilarious 2014 picture of a young Burrow sporting a very small LeBron James Cavs jersey with the caption, “He’s back.” Of course, he was referring to James’s return to Cleveland at the time, but the picture also describes his recent health update perfectly.
